According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/01\/20\/us\/selena-not-afraid-missing-montana.html\">reports<\/a>, officials&nbsp;are mobilizing local and federal resources to expand tribes\u2019 investigative capabilities. However, the new plan does not apply to tribal citizens who go missing outside the reservation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The situation is especially alarming in states such as Montana, which have large Native American populations.
