Brian Kemp signed the bill into law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the law passed, I started paying attention,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"css-1fanzo5 StoryBodyCompanionColumn\" readability=\"39.5\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\" readability=\"24\">\n<p class=\"css-axufdj evys1bk0\">\u201cThere seems to be no one speaking out,\u201d he added. \u201cWe thought if we spoke up, it might lead to a situation where others felt the responsibility to speak up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-axufdj evys1bk0\">Frazier feared that the legislation in Georgia could spread across the United States if corporate America did not stand up to it now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-axufdj evys1bk0\">\u201cThe Georgia legislature was the first one,\u201d Frazier said. \u201cIf corporate America doesn\u2019t stand up, we\u2019ll get these laws passed in many places in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-axufdj evys1bk0\">\u201cAs African-American business executives, we don\u2019t have the luxury of being bystanders to injustice,\u201d Frazier said. \u201cWe don\u2019t have the luxury of sitting on the sidelines when these kinds of injustices are happening all around us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Chenault expressed dismay that corporate America responded more forcefully to legislation aimed at the LGBTQ community than the election integrity law in Georgia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-axufdj evys1bk0\">\u201cYou had 60 major companies \u2014 Amazon, Google, American Airlines \u2014 that signed on to the statement that states a very clear opposition to harmful legislation aimed at restricting the access of L.G.B.T.Q. people in society,\u201d he said. \u201cSo, you know, it is bizarre that we don\u2019t have companies standing up to this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-axufdj evys1bk0\">\u201cThis is not new,\u201d he added. \u201cWhen it comes to race, there\u2019s differential treatment. That\u2019s the reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Movie mogul Tyler Perry, who runs a television and movie studio in&nbsp;Atlanta, decried the election integrity law as a \u201cvoter suppression law,\u201d declaring it unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a Georgia resident and business owner I\u2019ve been here a few times with the anti-abortion bill and the LGBTQ discrimination bill,\u201d Perry told Fox News. \u201cThey all sent a shockwave through Georgia and the nation but none of them managed to succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry went as far as to liken the new law to the \u201cJim Crow era,\u201d though he cautioned others against boycotting the state, noting the blue outcome of the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m resting my hope in the DOJ taking a hard look at this unconstitutional voter suppression law that harkens to the Jim Crow era,\u201d he continued. \u201cAs some consider boycotting, please remember that we did turn Georgia blue and there is a gubernatorial race on the horizon \u2014 that\u2019s the beauty of a democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tyler-perry-calls-on-doj-to-investigate-georgia-likens-voter-integrity-law-to-jim-crow\">Tyler Perry Calls On DOJ To Investigate Georgia, Likens Voter Integrity Law To \u2018Jim&nbsp;Crow\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
