The Kentucky lawmaker took to Twitter Tuesday to announce he has secured more than 125 co-sponsors for the <a href=\"https:\/\/barr.house.gov\/2021\/2\/congressman-barr-introduces-the-carol-act-to-honor-carol-leavell-barr-fight-valvular-heart-disease\">CAROL Act<\/a> so far.<\/p>\n<p>The bill is named after Barr\u2019s 39-year-old wife who died suddenly in July 2020 from heart disease. The congressman said the legislation will help establish funding for life-saving research and increase public awareness about the disease.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In just one month we have added over 125 bipartisan co-sponsors to the CAROL Act and we are not stopping there! <\/p>\n<p>Thank you to all my colleagues who have supported me so far.
