The employee, who was working at the time, required medical attention from the White House medical unit.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"4.9586776859504\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.\u2066<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@POTUS<\/a>\u2069\u2019s dog Major enjoying the sunny day. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/P4fbmH7Ahx\">pic.twitter.com\/P4fbmH7Ahx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jeff Mason (@jeffmason1) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jeffmason1\/status\/1376643437672472578?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 29, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Michael LaRosa, first lady Jill Biden\u2019s press secretary, chalked up the biting to Major \u201cstill adjusting to his new surroundings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, Major nipped someone on a walk. Out of an abundance of caution, the individual was seen by WHMU and then returned to work without injury,\u201d LaRosa added.<\/p>\n<p>Biden said during&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/03\/17\/politics\/joe-biden-major-dog-training-delaware\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">an interview with ABC News<\/a> earlier this month that Major was being trained to wield his protective instincts more responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou turn a corner, and there\u2019s two people you don\u2019t know at all,\u201d said Biden. \u201cAnd [Major] moves to protect. But he\u2019s a sweet dog. Eighty-five percent of the people there love him. He just \u2014 all he does is lick them and wag his tail.
