Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t have any further details to share on pending legal matters,\u201d Nike added later in a statement following news of the lawsuit. \u201cHowever, we can tell you we do not have a relationship with Lil Nas X or MSCHF.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nike is also clear about what it wants from MSCHF. The suit alleges that MSCHF infringed on Nike\u2019s trademark \u201cSWOOSH\u201d logo, using it deliberately in order to drive interest in its sneakers, and Nike wants both financial damages and a permanent injunction, meaning Nike wants a federal judge to put a halt to sales of the \u201cSatan\u201d sneaker.<\/p>\n<p>That will certainly have an impact on Lil Nas X\u2019s bottom line even though he is not named as a defendant in Nike\u2019s suit.
