Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/fb_image-4390.jpeg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span>According to an audio recording released on an aviation and travel blog, a Southwest Airlines pilot was caught last week on a hot mic \u201cmaking an expletive-filled rant against the San Francisco Bay Area,\u201d calling its residents \u201cf***ing weirdos\u201d and \u201cgoddamn liberal f***s,\u201d and that they\u2019re \u201cprobably driving around in f***ing Hyundais\u201d on \u201cf***ing roads and s*** that go slow as f***.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>The unidentified pilot was heard on a radio frequency at Mineta San Jose Airport (SJC) as the flight taxied for departure,\u201d ABC 7 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/southwest-airlines-pilot-rant-on-hot-mic-explicit-bay-area-san-jose-mineta-airport\/10451399\/\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cF*** this place, goddamn liberal f***s,\u201d the pilot is reported to have said, according to the released audio recording. \u201cLike eight guns out here somewhere as it is.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cF***ing weirdos, probably driving around in F***ing Hyundais, F***ing roads and s*** that go slow as f***,\u201d he continued.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>You don\u2019t have balls unless you\u2019re f***ing rolling coal man, goddamnit,\u201d the pilot added, according to the audio clip posted by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/onemileatatime.com\/pilot-hot-mic-shocking-rant\/\"><span>One Mile At A Time<\/span><\/a><span>, an aviation and travel blog.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cRolling coal\u201d refers to the modification of a diesel engine to increase the amount of fuel entering the engine in order to eject large amounts of black exhaust fumes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Will Lawton, the Twitter user cited by the One Mile At A Time, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/wlawton\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> that he was \u201cpretty positive\u201d that the person on the audio is a Southwest pilot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI\u2019m pretty positive based on the same voice at the end of the rant says \u2018Southwest 531 ready to go,\u2019\u201d said Lawton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhile his tirade wasn\u2019t broadcast to passengers, travelers say the audio is concerning,\u201d ABC 7 added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to the outlet, Councilman Raul Peralez, whose district includes the San Jose airport, described the comments as \u201cdisheartening\u201d and \u201cwrong.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt was extremely disheartening to hear our largest air carrier \u2014 to hear one of their employees \u2014 their pilots speak so disparagingly about the San Jose area,\u201d Peralez said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s one thing to be hearing peoples\u2019 authentic opinions. I think they\u2019re entitled to those opinions. I think in this case, this person is completely generalizing and completely wrong,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe FAA said its regulations prohibit pilots from talking about anything other than safely conducting their flight while taxiing and while flying below 10,000 feet altitude,\u201d ABC 7 concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe FAA is investigating communications that an airline pilot made while taxiing at Mineta San Jose International Airport last week,\u201d the administration stated. \u201cThe FAA also reported the incident to the airline.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A Southwest spokesperson <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com\/2021\/03\/27\/southwest-pilot-expletive-filled-tirade-liberal-bay-area-san-jose-hot-mic\/\"><span>confirmed<\/span><\/a><span> that the person heard was indeed an airline employee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOur corporate Culture is built on a tenet of treating others with concern and dignity and the comments are inconsistent with the professional behavior and overall respect that we require from our Employees,\u201d the spokesperson said, according to a San Francisco CBS outlet. \u201cThis situation was an isolated incident involving a single Employee and not representative of the nearly 60,000 hardworking, respectful People of Southwest Airlines.
