An ABC News\/ISPOS poll released Sunday found a majority of Americans disapprove of Biden\u2019s handling gun violence nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>The poll found more than 57 percent of participants did not approve of Biden\u2019s plan to lower gun violence. This comes as Biden has said his administration is looking into ways to restrict gun ownership. However, several lawmakers have said his plans for gun ownership are far too selective.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">57% of Americans disapprove of Pres. Biden&#8217;s handling of gun violence and the surge of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, per new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ABC<\/a> News\/Ipsos poll. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IU7rghcGyp\">https:\/\/t.co\/IU7rghcGyp<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5fInvgBFhl\">pic.twitter.com\/5fInvgBFhl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ABC News (@ABC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABC\/status\/1376183013319585793?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 28, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Biden is also facing backlash from within his own party as some Democrats argue for banning firearms completely while others look to compromise with opposing viewpoints.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, that same poll found another 57 percent of respondents disapproved of Joe Biden\u2019s handling of the southern border.
