(AP Photo\/Evan Vucci)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 12:40 PM PT \u2013 Friday, March 26, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Joe Biden now appears to have lied to the press about the effectiveness of Trump-era border policies, after a new report said he has been using them to expel migrants in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, all the policies that were underway were not helping at all,\u201d Biden stated. \u201cDid not slow up the amount of immigration, and there\u2019s many people coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, CNN reported that the Biden administration used a Trump-era health order to send back more than half of the migrants apprehended at the southern border. The data showed that in the first three weeks of March, of the over 100,000 migrants the border patrol came across, more than 60,000 were expelled using President Trump\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">1:00AM on our southern border.<\/p>\n<p>18 Senators are here with Border Patrol on their night shift.<\/p>\n<p>We saw the massive influx of migrant crossings.<\/p>\n<p>Countless women + children.<\/p>\n<p>We were heckled by cartels.<\/p>\n<p>This is a humanitarian crisis.<\/p>\n<p>And Joe Biden needs to address it immediately. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7GfRb2cc1C\">pic.twitter.com\/7GfRb2cc1C<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senate Republicans (@SenateGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenateGOP\/status\/1375456813257220104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Biden also apparently lied when he said the vast majority of migrant families coming to the border were not being expelled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re sending back the vast majority of the families that are coming. We\u2019re trying to work out now, with Mexico, their willingness to take more of those families back. But we, that\u2019s what\u2019s happening,\u201d Biden said. \u201cThey\u2019re not getting across the border and those who are coming across the border, who are unaccompanied children, we\u2019re moving rapidly to try to put in place what was dismantled, as I said.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The data contradicted Biden\u2019s remarks to the press.
