Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slammed what he called a \u201chumanitarian crisis\u201d while speaking at the southern border.<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted on his Twitter late Thursday, the Texas lawmaker confirmed he and 18 other senators have visited the detention facilities along the Rio Grande. He said families and children are being held in outdoor holding pens.<\/p>\n<p>Along the edge of the river, Cruz said he could see human traffickers taunting Border Patrol agents.
