(AP Photo\/Bernat Armangue, File)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 6:32 AM PT \u2013 Tuesday, March 23, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Drug maker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regeneron.com\/\">Regeneron<\/a> has been getting ready to produce its coronavirus antibody drug.<\/p>\n<p>According to results from a large clinical trial shared on Monday, the pharmaceutical company\u2019s antibody drug is able to reduce the hospitalization risk of COVID-19 by roughly 70 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The company said it intends to seek FDA authorization for distribution of a lower dose of the antibody drug after research showed the lower amount had similar effects to the higher dose.<\/p>\n<p>Back in October, President Trump praised the effectiveness of Regeneron\u2019s drug after receiving the drug himself when testing positive for COVID-19. \u201cThey gave me Regeneron and it was like unbelievable,\u201d he recounted. \u201cI felt good Immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a> news: We\u2019re announcing new positive Phase 3 data demonstrating the effect of our investigational antibody cocktail in reducing risk of hospitalization or death, and duration of symptoms in non-hospitalized patients with COVID-19: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/drN2lVbhDj\">https:\/\/t.co\/drN2lVbhDj<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/e4J4pxivxE\">pic.twitter.com\/e4J4pxivxE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Regeneron (@Regeneron) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Regeneron\/status\/1374315222903762944?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Additionally, Regeneron said its drug can be now given as a shot instead of vein infusion.
