On Monday, Harris spoke to reporters in Florida and claimed the Biden administration was left with a challenging situation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Q: &#8220;Do you plan to visit the border?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Vice Pres. Harris: &#8220;Not today [laughs] but I have before, and I&#8217;m sure I will again.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OEUVooaDPm\">pic.twitter.com\/OEUVooaDPm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Alex Salvi (@alexsalvinews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/alexsalvinews\/status\/1374088798959628289?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 22, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Harris made these comments despite a recent uptick in the number of illegal immigrants crossing the border following Biden\u2019s decision to lift a number of Trump-era immigration policies. However, the Vice President said there is a lot of work to be done in order to fix the issue which she claimed the Biden administration was \u201cleft with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, we were left with a very challenging situation,\u201d Harris alleged. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of work going into that and we expect to have success, but it\u2019s going to take a lot of work.
