In any case, this left-leaning Rogan reportedly laughed at a disturbing execution fantasy involving Charlie Kirk, according to a piece in The Western Journal. Do you want me to fact-check that specific Western Journal claim, or are you asking whether the “left’s Joe Rogan” label fits Jennifer Welch and whether the execution-fantasy story is likely true? I can do either – here’s a short, useful breakdown so you can pick.

Swift take on the comparison

– What the label implies: long-form conversational podcasting, high-profile guests, a broad cultural/political reach, and a reputation for platforming controversial views. That’s why people call others “the [political side]’s Joe Rogan.”

– Why it’s often misleading: scale and style differ a lot. Rogan’s audience, guest mix (comedians, scientists, right-wing figures), and revenue/profile are unusually large. Many “left’s Rogan” tags are shorthand for a left-leaning host who does long-form interviews – not a close match in influence or content.

– Bottom line: plausible as shorthand but usually a squint-level comparison, not an exact one.

About the Western Journal claim (laughing at an execution fantasy involving Charlie Kirk)

– I can’t verify or debunk that exact report in real time here (my browsing and news access are limited). The Western Journal is a right-leaning outlet prone to adversarial framing of left-leaning figures, so treat a single WJ article as a starting point, not confirmation.

– How to verify it yourself (quick checklist):

 1. Find the primary source: locate the original episode or clip of Jennifer Welch where the remark allegedly occurred (YouTube, podcast host site, Rumble, X/tiktok reposts).A short clip or timestamp is ideal.

 2. Check context and exact words: does the clip show an explicit “execution fantasy,” or was it hyperbolic/joking, or being described hypothetically by another person and laughed at? Tone and surrounding remarks matter.

 3. Corroboration: look for other news outlets, reputable fact-checkers,or screenshots/transcripts. Multiple independent sources strengthen credibility.

 4. Look for corrections or clarifications: sometimes hosts apologize or issue statements if a clip goes viral.

 5. Check timestamps and edits: confirm the clip hasn’t been spliced or taken out of sequence.

 6. Assess the outlet: note Western Journal’s editorial slant and check for similar reporting elsewhere.

– Search queries you can use:

 – “Jennifer Welch podcast Charlie Kirk laugh execution”

 – “Jennifer Welch joked about executing Charlie Kirk clip”

 – “Jennifer Welch podcast [date or show name if known] Charlie Kirk”

 – Add “transcript” or “full episode” to find unedited context.

If you want, I can:

– Try to locate and summarize the original clip/article (if you give me permission to browse or paste the link/text), or

– walk through how to evaluate the clip once you find it, or

– Provide a longer analysis of the rhetorical consequences of labeling hosts as “the left’s/right’s Joe Rogan.”

Wich would you like me to do?

Podcaster Jennifer Welch often gets called the left’s Joe Rogan.
