The shake-up follows poor midterm results and several senior DOJ resignations. critics such as Steve Bannon demanded Wiles\u2019 ouster, while supporters called Miller\u2019s rise a turning point. Miller is known for hardline immigration and deportation stances,arguing mass removals and tough measures against traffickers protect Americans\u2019 economic and cultural interests and decrying fraud by foreigners. Thies.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, perhaps the Trump administration\u2019s foremost immigration and deportation hawk, will take over as chief of staff after Susie Wiles resigned her position Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapidResponse47\/status\/2118778661243634138?a=duVZo-av1QNTNbkLsu4&#038;s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> Miller\u2019s promotion on social media, stating Miller is one of his \u201cmost trusted advisors,\u201d adding, \u201cSusie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff \u2014 She has done a great job!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The shake-up at the top comes after devastating midterms for Republicans, where many voters were angry with the protracted war in Iran and its resultant high gas prices and a lack of focus on domestic issues like affordability.<\/p>\n<p>Staffing changes after election defeats are fairly common, and more could come. Officials in top positions at the Department of Justice have also started <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AGToddBlanche\/status\/2118712800230977822?a=sZT3orJF7Ktq09Y_BJc&#038;s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">turning<\/a> in their resignations, including Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AGToddBlanche\/status\/2118397456052302011?a=sGIY1dn_jWENqiRprcE&#038;s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harmeet Dhillon<\/a> and Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AGToddBlanche\/status\/2118735482779492753?a=LX4RyW2IZn5tGP3VliA&#038;s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">John Eisenberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some on the right, like Steve Bannon, who served as the White House chief strategist in Trump\u2019s first term, called for Wiles to be <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/6204435-bannon-calls-wiles-removal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">removed<\/a>, stating, \u201cI think that you have to look to people like Susie Wiles, the chief of staff, and the political consultants that are there \u2026 because of the results, they should be removed and removed immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Peterson, a Claremont Institute fellow and founder of FORUM, a debate platform for the new right, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/docMJP\/status\/2118797860556955894?a=xo2LEAlHx8yHUorz5Kc&#038;s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">added<\/a> that Wiles\u2019 ouster \u201cneeded to be done a good long while ago, but was necessary this week,\u201d calling Miller\u2019s succession a \u201cgame changer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWiles is obviously an extremely capable operator, good at managing Trump, and deserves credit for the win,\u201d he stated. \u201cBut after the first heady 6-9 months of the admin, as time went on, her lack of internalized understanding of the actual MAGA agenda became damning. The amount of stuff that has been blocked, from MAHA to immigration, and the fools who have been suffered \u2014 long after proving they can\u2019t do the job \u2014 is, well A LOT.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miller is well-liked on the right as someone who has demonstrated laser focus on mass deportations and how government policy needs to benefit the American people, economically and culturally.<\/p>\n<p>When speaking of mass deportations, Miller <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/22\/ice-is-helping-alleviate-pressure-on-americas-emergency-rooms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, \u201cAt every turn illegal aliens have always been treated better than Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you have any idea how many resources will be opened up for Americans when the illegals are gone? No more waiting in line at an emergency room, no more massive traffic in Los Angeles,\u201d he continued. \u201cYour health insurance premiums go down, your <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >public school classroom size<\/a> will shrink dramatically. They have more time to educate every student. You won\u2019t have to compete for public benefits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miller\u2019s message on why drug traffickers from South and Central America needed to be \u201ctreated just as brutally and just as ruthlessly\u201d as ISIS or al-Qaida is because successful domestic family formation is dependent on securing the homeland, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/03\/05\/hegseth-partners-with-17-countries-to-fight-narcoterrorists-in-western-hemisphere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adding<\/a>, \u201cA country cannot pursue economic growth, cultural enrichment, art, architecture, education, science, if it doesn\u2019t have fundamental security first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fraud is another area in which Miller has <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/10\/20\/trump-americans-can-now-be-paid-to-uncover-fraud-in-their-communities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spoken<\/a> about an issue fully in terms of Americans\u2019 birthright and how it is being stolen by foreigners who do not belong in the country, stating, \u201cThe main thing I want the American people to know is that if you\u2019re a middle-class taxpayer in this country, before President Trump came along, you spent half your working life paying for fraudsters and scammers, many of whom are refugees, illegal aliens, and foreigners who came to this country to loot and plunder us.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Breccan F.
