This case should be tried within a month, not three years \u2014 and it should be over with!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe judge is desecrating the memory of the Great Charlie Kirk, while taking forever to ask questions that people already know the answer to. This is absurd on its face.<\/p>\n<p>2. It seems like the defense\u2019s strategy is to delay, delay, delay. Charlie\u2019s children, who were 3 and 1 when he was murdered would be 7 and 5 by the time a verdict is handed down according to this timeline.<\/p>\n<p>4. The state already presented an avalanche of evidence, and it wasn\u2019t even all they have. The state says they would be ready to go in the second half of 2027. This already feels like an eternity, so why not push the defense to meet this minimum threshold?<\/p>\n<p>5. Utah taxpayers have spent over $1.6 million to date on this case, a figure that will balloon to potentially $10 million, maybe more. And the longer this drags out, the bigger the bill.<\/p>\n<p>This process genuinely feels like a slow motion, never ending horror. We want a fair trial, and our system demands it, but the process should also be fair to the victims who have to wait so long for justice and closure.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Andrew Kolvet (@AndrewKolvet) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AndrewKolvet\/status\/2113430292732272851?\">October 23, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>During a hearing in early September, Utah Judge Tony Graf f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/turning-point-usas-andrew-kolvet-fumes-judges-unreal-decision-tyler-robinson-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">irst found<\/a> that the probable cause threshold had been reached for seven charges against Robinson to go to trial.<\/p>\n<p>The most serious charge is aggravated murder, a first-degree felony that makes him eligible for the death penalty.<\/p>\n<p>Robinson, through his attorney, pleaded not guilty on all counts.<\/p>\n<p>Many court watchers have expressed frustration that it had taken nearly a year after Kirk was assassinated at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/turning-point-usa-return-scene-charlie-kirks-assassination-anniversary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Turning Point USA<\/a> campus event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025, to get an arraignment and plea from Robinson.<\/p>\n<p>Kirk family attorney Jeffrey Neiman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/judge-decide-whether-tyler-robinson-will-stand-trial-charlie-kirks-ass-rcna595489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked<\/a> at the September hearing that the court act swiftly and \u201cset this trial as soon as practically possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe United States Constitution guarantees criminal defendants many rights.
