Kennedy Jr., announced his resignation Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am resigning from the White House with tremendous respect for President Trump and Bobby Kennedy,\u201d Means wrote in a post on social media platform X.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I am resigning from the White House with tremendous respect for President Trump and Bobby Kennedy.<\/p>\n<p>They laid out a vision of combatting the entrenched, dark forces in DC that profit from Americans getting sick.<\/p>\n<p>More policy and cultural change has happened around these goals in the past 2 years than any time in history \u2013 and I know this movement is just getting started.<\/p>\n<p>It was an honor to advocate for MAHA moms in the administration and steer policies like Dietary Guidelines reform, psychedelic reform, removing soda from SNAP, removing food dyes, GRAS reform, and overhauling government food procurement.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Calley Means (@calleymeans) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/calleymeans\/status\/2113320722919559349?\">October 22, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey laid out a vision of combatting the entrenched, dark forces in DC that profit from Americans getting sick,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Means also praised the administration\u2019s accomplishments, saying that \u201cmore policy and cultural change has happened around these goals in the past 2 years than any time in history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The departing adviser added that he believes the MAHA movement is \u201cjust getting started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Means played a significant role in advancing Kennedy\u2019s health agenda, including reforms to federal dietary guidelines, efforts to remove artificial food dyes, and initiatives targeting soda purchases through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was an honor to advocate for MAHA moms in the administration,\u201d Means wrote, also highlighting his work on psychedelic reform, food ingredient oversight, and changes to government food procurement.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the positive tone of his departure announcement, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/policy\/calley-means-a-top-rfk-jr-adviser-quits-trump-administration-3fc58fa3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> reported that Means had experienced friction with other administration officials over the pace of certain MAHA initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Citing people familiar with the matter, the outlet reported that Means had grown frustrated with White House delays and believed food companies and special interests wielded too much influence over policy decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Among the delayed initiatives were a federal definition of ultraprocessed foods and proposed changes to school meals that would reduce added sugar while increasing protein.<\/p>\n<p>The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Means had clashed with administration officials, some of whom viewed him as unwilling to make practical compromises on policy.<\/p>\n<p>Means declined to comment to the outlet about the reasons behind his resignation, while the White House offered a courteous assessment of his tenure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful for Calley Means\u2019 time in the Trump Administration,\u201d White House spokeswoman Allison Schuster told the outlet. \u201cHe has done a fantastic job for the MAHA movement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Means was hardly a peripheral figure in Kennedy\u2019s political orbit.<\/p>\n<p>He co-wrote the book \u201cGood Energy\u201d with his sister, Dr. Casey Means, and helped facilitate the initial conversation between Trump and Kennedy that ultimately brought the two political figures together.<\/p>\n<p>His departure also comes as Republicans look to maintain support among MAHA voters ahead of the midterm elections, with some Kennedy supporters expressing frustration over the administration\u2019s progress on certain health priorities.<\/p>\n<p>For now, Means\u2019 resignation represents the departure of an influential MAHA advocate from the White House, but his own words suggest that he views his work with Trump and Kennedy as a chapter in a larger movement rather than the end of the road.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #f7f7f7;
