Local officials approved the school, run by the Islamic Education Foundation, based on the understanding that it would school 90 students in its current property, according to a report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newjerseyhills.com\/the_progress\/news\/you-are-in-violation-of-the-law-fairfield-islamic-high-school-operating-with-313-students\/article_2579ebc6-9c15-41a3-a210-7839cf718e85.html\">The New Jersey Progress<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the school has enrolled around 313 students since it was given a Certificate of Re-Occupancy earlier this year, and practically demanded that local authorities increase its authorized student number to 400.<\/p>\n<p>During a planning board meeting last Tuesday, IEF Schools executive director Hayat Jaludi defended her decision to blatantly disregard the student limit based on the fact that, well, kids wanted to be educated.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, she didn\u2019t have permission, but she apparently didn\u2019t think she needed it to flood the school and break the regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHold on, hold on \u2014 how can you have 314 students in a building when you\u2019re only allowed to have 90?\u201d one of the board members asked.<\/p>\n<p>Jaludi said that \u201cwe came into this building assuming that we have the occupancy of whatever enrolled students we have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, um, we attempted to have the 90 student capacity \u2014 if there are any educators in this room, you\u2019ll understand and appreciate the importance of not disrupting or interrupting students\u2019 right to be educated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not that they couldn\u2019t be educated elsewhere, mind you. It\u2019s not as if Fairfield is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-jersey-democrats-want-force-dei-wellness-checks-homeschooled-children\/\">public school<\/a> desert, where there\u2019s no education available unless they go to Al-Ghazaly High School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe made the decision to try to run the school with that capacity of students and we\u2019ve been successful so far,\u201d she told the board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say we blatantly decided that it doesn\u2019t matter,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are law-abiding citizens. We understand. However, I do have a community of 313 students with an interruption to their education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Translation: We\u2019re law-abiding, unless we decide the law is problematic.<\/p>\n<p>This pretty much describes every criminal, who abides by most laws except for the ones they break. Courts and jails are filled with defendants and criminals who didn\u2019t break most rules and laws, but have infringed upon some that they found onerous.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The town of Fairfield, NJ gave approval for a Muslim school, with a cap of 90 students.<\/p>\n<p>5 weeks in and they already got busted for flooding the town with HUNDREDS more.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the infuriating exchange: https:\/\/t.co\/0GnBAx2kAX<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EndWokeness\/status\/2111804959171953136?\">October 18, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>At least the school\u2019s lawyer had the common sense to say that the occupancy problem was \u201cnews to me.\u201d Jaludi, on the other hand, seemed thoroughly unfazed.<\/p>\n<p>This school had 247 percent more students than it was legally allowed to have, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.com\/news\/article-16220623\/islamic-school-overcapacity-fairfield-new-jersey.html\">U.K. Daily Mail<\/a> pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>If this were a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/amid-rising-anti-christian-hostility-public-schools-christian-academy-wins-court-victory\/\">public school<\/a>, the superintendent would likely be trying to vigorously cover this fact up. Instead, we have a woman loudly and proudly declaiming that she has every right to go back on her word because \u201cI have to answer to 150 families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And what sets this school apart? The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/parents-furious-muslim-school-board-member-tells-students-remember-jihad-graduation-speech\/\">fact that it\u2019s Islamic<\/a>, of course. Thus, answering to 150 Muslim families is more important than answering to the law, or even reporting the variance before she went in front of the planning board.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t just about limiting the number of students that can safely be in a building, although it\u2019s certainly about that. This creates a traffic and parking nightmare for other residents of Fairfield, as well as other logistical and safety issues.<\/p>\n<p>Can you imagine what the government would do to a Christian school that just unilaterally decided it needed hundreds and hundreds more seats than a town had given it permission to have? If the planning board didn\u2019t raise an objection, the establishment media certainly would do the work for them.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, Fairfield Mayor William Galese seemed unintimidated by the school\u2019s demands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a community of 8,000 people who need to be answered for, and this is exactly one of the things they put us here to do,\u201d he said during the meeting, and other board members were similarly unmoved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I drive down the Garden State Parkway and there are no cars on the road, I know my car can do 120 miles an hour,\u201d a board member said during the showdown. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t mean I can do it. You don\u2019t have the jurisdiction to make that decision unilaterally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Jaludi said this wasn\u2019t \u201ca haphazard decision,\u201d Galese said that \u201cit wasn\u2019t your decision to make.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And therein lies the whole conflict here: America has rules, and what we\u2019ll charitably call diverse communities do not think that those rules apply if they\u2019re not aligned with what they want to do.<\/p>\n<p>Not that there aren\u2019t other people who have contempt for local, state, and federal regulations, mind you \u2014 but when there\u2019s a consistent pattern among entitled minority populations who want to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/muslim-event-canceled-texas-gov-greg-abbott-makes-threat\/\">judged by their own standards<\/a>, we have an issue.<\/p>\n<p>The school now faces summonses for its violations and will have another hearing on Nov. 10.
