Vance in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNick has been at the forefront of the battle to stop the horrible plague that\u2019s happened within our country. There\u2019s never been anything like it,\u201d Trump continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNick used his popular YouTube channel to reveal that the Somali community\u2026 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was stealing billions and billions of dollars, taxpayer money, through fraudulent childcare centers and other scams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He credited Shirley with helping effectuate the arrests of some of the 115 \u201cfraudsters\u201d since Trump resumed office, then accused Minnesota Democratic Gov. He\u2019s 100 percent guilty,\u201d Trump proclaimed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s a fraud, he\u2019s a thief, he\u2019s a crook. And he\u2019s getting away by just getting out of office. He\u2019s getting away. He knew everything that was happening. The attorney general, that guy\u2019s a total thief, and it\u2019s a shame that they can just go and retire, because he knew what was happening. I\u2019m sure he\u2019s very happy, monetarily.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president added that \u201cfrom day one of my administration, we\u2019ve waged an unprecedented war on corruption and fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll not let our country be looted and plundered by thieves and pirates and foreign fraudsters and basically scum,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s new program is part of a nationwide effort that he launched during his second term to crack down on federal fraud, which began when he established the Department of Government Efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2026, Vance was also appointed to lead a new task force focused on tracking down fraud, waste, and abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Back in April, the vice president announced that they\u2019d already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vances-task-force-uncovers-6-billion-potential-fraud-begins-taking-action-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">discovered<\/a> at least $6 billion in potential fraud through government contracts.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation found 895 contracts awarded to 392 businesses, totaling $6.3 billion \u201cwith $3 billion still left to be rewarded.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>News of Trump\u2019s monetary reward program came less than two weeks after Vance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-trump-administration-cracks-tech-fraudsters-stolen-jobs-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spoke<\/a> at a news conference about H-1B visa fraud.<\/p>\n<p>He announced a major investigation into nine American universities that are using J-1 visas at exorbitantly high rates, potentially in an effort to undercut wages for graduate students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese universities are employing J-1 visas for federally funded grants at a rate of about 61 percent. The national average is 38 percent. So something weird is going on at these universities!\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re using these visas way too much,\u201d Vance added. \u201cThey\u2019re using them to undercut the wages of American grad students and American researchers.
