Chris Murphy, the deputy secretary of the Senate Democratic Caucus, appeared on CNN last Wednesday alongside Florida state Rep. Angie Nixon, who\u2019s running for incumbent Republican Sen. Ashley Moody\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n<p>Just to be clear, Nixon is a full-fledged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-totalitarian-dem-slotkin-wants-trump-prosecution-teach-gop-kids-happens-resist-left\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">totalitarian nutter<\/a>, and she demonstrated as much right in front of Murphy\u2019s shocked eyes and ears by admitting that she wants her opponent in the race to be \u201clocked up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are spreading, like, a lot of disinformation and lies on commercials about me, of saying things like I want to abolish prisons and I want to defund the police,\u201d Nixon began, talking about Moody\u2019s election campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy would I want to do that when I want her locked up and punished in jail for what she has done?\u201d she added without a shred of hesitation or awareness.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Angie Nixon: \u201cThey\u2019re spreading lies about me saying I want to abolish prisons\u2026 Why would I want to do that when I want [Ashley Moody] locked up and jailed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CNN: \u201cYou want your Republican opponent locked up?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Angie Nixon: \u201cYeah basically. Murphy meanwhile tried but failed to contain his growing nausea as Nixon continued ranting and raving about Moody.<\/p>\n<p>After she finally finished speaking, a still-stunned Hunt sought confirmation that Nixon, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/socialist-florida-dem-gov-nominee-makes-300k-year-wont-pay-taxes-student-loans-back\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an open socialist<\/a>, was being serious with her call for imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou want your Republican opponent locked up?\u201d she asked in disbelief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, basically, yes,\u201d Nixon promptly replied as Murphy watched in horror. \u201cBecause of what she did, yes. I absolutely would want that to happen, yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As noted by the hosts of the Ruthless Podcast after they watched the stunning clip of Nixon speaking, Murphy immediately threw her the \u201cside eye\u201d when she doubled down on wanting to incarcerate Moody:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cHe looked like he swallowed a canary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@RuthlessPodcast hosts erupt over Democratic Sen. It was especially unbelievable when you factor in that Moody has not only denied wrongdoing \u2014 she hasn\u2019t been charged with anything at all.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, some might argue it\u2019s the same playbook the Democrats used against President Donald Trump. Democrats shamelessly ginned up multiple fake controversies just so they could <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fulton-county-releases-historic-trump-mugshot-booking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perp-walk and mugshot him<\/a> ahead of the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>So what did Moody do anyway? She allegedly played a part in Florida\u2019s Republican-led government diverting taxpayer money from a Medicaid settlement into the Hope Florida Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/news\/grand-jury-report-hope-florida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a>, a grand jury \u201cconcluded that Ashley Moody, who was the attorney general at the time, was aware of the plans to divert the $10 million to Hope Florida and \u2018authorized\u2019 her former chief deputy, John Guard, to sign the settlement agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But again, she was never charged \u2014 not that this seems to matter to Nixon, who doubled down on her remarks when she was asked during an appearance on \u201cFace the Nation\u201d this Sunday whether she was trying to weaponize the Justice Department against her political opponent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not a desire to weaponize the justice system,\u201d Nixon insisted. \u201cIt\u2019s designed to actually hold corrupt politicians accountable for what they\u2019re doing.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon defends her previous comments that her GOP opponent Ashley Moody should be jailed, telling @margbrennan \u201cit\u2019s not a desire to weaponize the justice system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s designed to actually hold corrupt politicians accountable,\u201d Nixon says, calling for a Justice Department investigation into the Hope Florida scandal, in which Moody has denied wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Face The Nation (@FaceTheNation) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FaceTheNation\/status\/2111854726119600564?\">October 18, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>How do I know what she said is bull?
