His pure heart was open to everyone. He had the best laugh. He was a friend with everyone, young or old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wichita Police Chief Joe Sullivan said, \u201cOur officers and investigators will continue working to understand exactly what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hearts are with the families of Adrian and Nicholas as they face an unimaginable loss,\u201d he added. \u201cWhat should \u2060have been \u200ba day of children playing soccer \u200band families spending time together ended in tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Mac Wrestling Club set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/mac-wrestling-club-rallies-for-the-schafers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GoFundMe<\/a> page to raise money for Schafer\u2019s widow and his family, some of whom were injured during the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith broken hearts, we are coming together to support the Schafer family following the tragic passing of Nick Schafer this past weekend at Stryker Sports Complex,\u201d the fundraiser page read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the wake of this unimaginable tragedy, the Schafer family is facing an incredibly difficult road ahead. Along with the devastating loss of Nick, the family\u2019s two daughters and grandparents were injured in this tragic event,\u201d the message continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs they navigate the emotional and physical challenges ahead, we want to rally around them and remind them that they are not alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Schafers\u2019 son, Bentley, has excelled as a member of the wrestling club for the past five years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe wrestling community is more than a group of athletes, coaches, and families,\u201d the post added. \u201cWe are a family that stands together through the toughest moments.
