Version: 4.0.47--><p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><br \/>\n<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\"><br \/>\n<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><html><body><\/p>\n<section> \t\t\t\t<script>console.log(\"ad slot (AC1)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC1)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC2)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC3)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC4)\")<\/script><\/p>\n<p>After a Texas chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution had the temerity to suggest membership be restricted to those who are actually female, the national organization dissolved the chapter.<\/p>\n<p>DAR Organizing Secretary General Marguerite Hogan Fritsch said in a letter that the National Board of Management agreed to dissolve the chapter, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/daughters-american-revolution-axes-chapter-challenged-transgender-membership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">\u201cThe actions of the chapter have been found in violation of Article XIX, Section 4 of the Bylaws of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution,\u201d the letter said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe National Board of Management voted on October 10 to disband the Martha Laird Chapter in Texas after finding that chapter officers had used the chapter\u2019s name, leadership positions, communications, and governance processes to further the goals of a separate advocacy organization,\u201d the group said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Board determined that it was this use of chapter authority and resources \u2014 not the views being advocated \u2014 that constituted conduct discrediting the National Society under Article XIX, Section 4 of the National Bylaws.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Board\u2019s decision was not based on the chapter\u2019s or its members\u2019 views concerning membership eligibility, their efforts to propose changes to the National Bylaws, or their right to advocate for changes in National Society governance,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>DAR members who wanted to restrict membership to women, not men who claim they are women, formed a group called <a href=\"https:\/\/daughtersadvocatingrestoration.org\/its-not-political-its-not-emotional-its-just-inconsistent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daughters Advocating Restoration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/daughtersadvocatingrestoration.org\/its-not-political-its-not-emotional-its-just-inconsistent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> by Amy Van Riper on the Daughters Advocating Restoration website staked out the group\u2019s position by noting, \u201cDAR enforces biological truth for lineage\u2026 but relies on legal fiction for sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She noted that DAR membership requires proof that any woman seeking membership is descended from someone who fought in the American Revolution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t build an entire organization on bloodline biology\u2026 and then ignore biology when it becomes inconvenient,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>She added that \u201cwhen it comes to the term \u2018woman,\u2019 DAR abandons the principle it demands for lineage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the organization requires applicants to sign that they are the\u00a0natural-born\u00a0descendants of their parents, then logically, it would stand to reason that the organization also requires members to be the\u00a0natural-born female sex\u00a0the society was founded for,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t enforce biological reality for ancestry and then ignore biological reality for sex. It\u2019s one standard or the other\u2026 otherwise the system has no integrity,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI\u2019m not asking to exclude people. I\u2019m asking for the rules to make sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A DAR chapter of biological women from the oldest women\u2019s organization in the country is being forced to disband in order to accommodate men who pretend to be women. This is outrageous. @HarmeetKDhillon https:\/\/t.co\/pbvtwfeOXs<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TheMorningSpew2 (@TheMorningSpew2) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheMorningSpew2\/status\/2109051993134153926?\">October 10, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Laura McDonald, a member of the chapter that battled the national DAR, said allowing men to join when they claim to be female was ludicrous, according to Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, then they go on to say that a man who claims he\u2019s a woman is a woman, and therefore he\u2019s eligible for membership. But if you are a man that doesn\u2019t claim to be a woman, you\u2019re not eligible for membership,\u201d McDonald said.<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
