In July, a Colombian man was fatally shot by an ICE officer in <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/maine\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"193\">Maine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have also been nonfatal shootings. Last week, a Dominican immigrant was shot by an ICE officer in the Bronx while driving his child. After getting shot in the neck, he was promptly hospitalized and held in federal custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Dokoupil pressed Vance on the \u201cbiggest mistakes\u201d regarding ICE operations, the vice president did not give a direct response but said the administration has quietly investigated cases in which officers have been accused of misconduct.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-17\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-3\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere are a number of cases where we\u2019ve investigated and either provided further training or sometimes even provided disciplinary situations within ICE,\u201d he said. \u201cWe don\u2019t always advertise that stuff, as you know, Tony, because we believe that people have to be judged in a court of law and through a normal investigatory process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After fatally shooting Good in January, ICE officer Jonathan Ross was placed on administrative leave and later reassigned out of Minnesota. The <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/department-of-homeland-security\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"3083\">Department of Homeland Security<\/a> has not said where Ross was relocated after Gov. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/kathy-hochul\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"3278\">Kathy Hochul<\/a> (D-NY) had reason to believe he was moved to her state.
