Crowder criticized CNN and Jubilee, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-viral-image-claims-to-show-photojournalist-crying-as-he-takes-pictures-of-the-al-aqsa-mosque\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Viral Image Claims To Show Photojournalist Crying As He Takes Pictures Of The Al-Aqsa Mosque\">digital media company<\/a>, for hosting a town hall featuring Talarico, during which Jubilee used Crowder&#8217;s registered trademark phrase \u201cCHANGE MY MIND.\u201d Crowder expressed frustration that his brand and format, which involves sitting behind a personalized table with provocative statements, had been allegedly plagiarized and used for propaganda purposes. He emphasized that he does not usually pursue litigation but considers this a serious infringement and theft, possibly entitling him to ample revenue. Crowder accused mainstream media of copying his format after initially rejecting it and stated that the use of his trademarked phrase without permission was egregious,dishonest,and amounted to plagiarism. Lawyer up,\u201d he wrote on X.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">CNN and Jubilee hosted a town hall with @jamestalarico last night and I only have one thing to say.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer up. https:\/\/t.co\/rMx1z8FCPy<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Steven Crowder (@scrowder) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/scrowder\/status\/2110728819334430939?\">October 15, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Crowder was referring to Jubilee, a digital media company, using his registered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trademarkia.com\/change-my-mind-88495879\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trademark<\/a> \u201cCHANGE MY MIND\u201d during the network\u2019s town hall.<\/p>\n<p>The trademark is active, with its first recorded use being in December 2017. It was officially registered in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The conservative commentator has filmed a multitude of videos in which he sits behind a long folding table that\u2019s covered with a custom banner bearing the phrase, along with a controversial or definitive statement in bold letters, inviting others to argue their counterpoint.<\/p>\n<p>The issue was also addressed during the Thursday <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/v7gwavu--we-are-suing-cnn-jubilee-and-james-talarico.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">episode<\/a> of his podcast, \u201cLouder With Crowder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to bury the lede here. We are filing a lawsuit,\u201d Crowder declared. \u201cJust so you know, like, I am not a litigious person. We have been ripped off many times, but this was so egregious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we\u2019ll get to the multitude of reasons that this needs to be done, not the least of which the people ripping me off are people who have scammed me in the past, and I don\u2019t want our trademarked brand logo and format, which they\u2019ve praised, to be used for James Talarico to associate and ingratiate himself with right-wing voters,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Crowder added, \u201cOnce you rip it off and you profit and you use it for propaganda, I now have a problem, and I have to come for everything!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He and his co-hosts then mocked CNN by playing clips of the network using the phrase \u201cchange my mind\u201d at least 10 times ahead of the town hall.<\/p>\n<p>Each time it was referenced on \u201cLouder With Crowder,\u201d a cash register sound effect went off.<\/p>\n<p>They also pointed out how CNN claimed the format was a \u201cnovel concept\u201d across multiple shows, without crediting Crowder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve worked with legacy media for a long time,\u201d Crowder explained. \u201cThey said that will never work, then once they lose in a competitive environment, they would rip it off and kind of in a soft way. Last night, they just ripped it off on purpose. And I\u2019m telling you this, I do not want \u2018change my mind\u2019 and the many, many hundreds of millions of plays, to be used to help James Talarico ruin Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged that unlike his segment, Jubilee\u2019s format includes a timer, but he called the company \u201cdishonest\u201d and referred to its actions as \u201cplagiarism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crowder said he hopes the lawsuit will reveal whose idea it was to use the trademark in such a blatant manner, adding that he might be entitled to massive revenue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to find out who flagrantly disregarded the trademark, who flagrantly plagiarized, who profited off of it most, and for what degree of time. So this, what you just saw, is what you would call legal nomenclature\u2026 a slam dunk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crowder said the idea was rejected by cable news earlier in his career, only for them to use it down the line after it was successful in the podcast and online space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were the ones who paid the cost and these other people swoop in, they get some investors, sometimes nonprofit donors, they steal it and profit,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd so we just got to figure out, hey, CNN, if it\u2019s not you, just, you know, you guys can just finger Jubilee. Let us know that it was them. And Jubilee, if it\u2019s not you, you can let us know it was Talarico.
