These allegations are false, and I intend to vigorously defend my name, my reputation, and my integrity,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/kimguilfoyle\/status\/2110027236971855908?%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2110027236971855908%7Ctwgr%5E78f4ed97a1ead97b48c9415f4d1c26bebf600f3f%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.westernjournal.com%2Fbreaking-kimberly-guilfoyle-forever-grateful-trump-resigns%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have dedicated my professional life to fighting for justice, standing up for what is right, and defending the values that make America exceptional,\u201d Guilfoyle continued. \u201cI will not allow false accusations to define my decades of public service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her legal team has challenged the authenticity of said text messages, which Deters d with various media outlets.<\/p>\n<p>Deters cited quotes given to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/policy\/guilfoyle-amex-donor-100-000-0e02cdc3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> by Guilfoyle\u2019s legal team that claimed she \u201cwas owed a balance for traveling to and supporting\u201d certain \u201cpatriotic events,\u201d which Deters is contesting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, they\u2019re claiming that there are invoices when she knows that\u2019s not true. In all the text messages, she doesn\u2019t mention anything about me owing money,\u201d he explained, according to a report from <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/6151789-deters-sues-guilfoyle-defamation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe knows that is phony, and I\u2019m going to be suing them all for defamation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Deters addressed claims that the aforementioned text messages are fabricated, stating, \u201cThe texts are not fake. I have never been accused of or charged with blackmail\u2026 This statement contains the falsehood that I owed Kim Guilfoyle money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Along with Guilfoyle, the lawsuit named defense attorneys Jesse Binnall and David M. Schwartz, and was filed in Kenton Circuit Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKim Guilfoyle and her lawyers claimed my allegations were false and they would defend the allegations vigorously,\u201d Deters wrote in a statement regarding the lawsuit. \u201cNow they can in Kentucky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He wants a trial by jury and is seeking monetary damages.<\/p>\n<p>The Hill\u2019s broadcast partner NewsNation obtained text messages which seemingly show Guilfoyle begging Deters not to tell anyone about their \u201carrangement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She allegedly said that doing so could \u201cliterally cost me my ambassadorship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guilfoyle was previously engaged to the president\u2019s son, Donald Trump Jr., before the engagement was broken off in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe wasn\u2019t a member of my family,\u201d the commander-in-chief told reporters. \u201cI guess she dated my son a long time ago. She was doing a good job, but we didn\u2019t like what we were reading.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guilfoyle was previously married to California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2001. She served as first lady of San Francisco from 2004 to 2006 during Newsom\u2019s time as mayor, Business Insider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/kimberly-guilfoyle-gavin-newsom-relationship#may-2006-guilfoyle-married-businessman-and-furniture-heir-eric-villency-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a>.
