Lauren Boebert in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/future-texas-determined-colorados-courts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorado\u2019s<\/a> 4th Congressional District. She paints Boebert, who\u2019s been in the House since 2021, as being an extremist \u2014 and says that she\u2019s going to stand up to \u201cextremists in both parties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Why, just listen to this ad:<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Break Through the Noise\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mT3ui5k2BEQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>\u201cLike so many of us, Eileen is done with the extremists in both parties,\u201d a narrator intones in the piece. \u201cMaybe the best way to break through the noise is a little less talking and more listening.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>OK, then. During her debate with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-rep-boebert-planning-motion-expel-ilhan-omar-congress-alleged-incestuous-marriage-ones-mine-dibs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boebert<\/a> on Monday \u2014 the only debate of the campaign \u2014 Laubacher was asked to call out those extremists, if she believes they exist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Laubacher, you have an ad running right now that says that you are done with the extremists in both parties,\u201d said Kyle Clark of KUSA-TV in Denver.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho are the extremists in your Democratic Party? Please name them and explain how you\u2019ll stand up to them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Uh-oh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think \u2014 I think what\u2019s extreme is \u2014 you want me to name specific people?\u201d Laubacher said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, specific people,\u201d Clark responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s really necessary, Kyle. I think it\u2019s more important to talk about the things that they want to do and the things that I want to do,\u201d Laubacher stalled.<\/p>\n<p>Which, hey, is not what she said in the ad \u2014 in which the Democratic nominee tried to get the vote of people in a heavily Republican district by insisting she\u2019d had enough with the extremes of either party and implying her competitor was an extremist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I want to do is find ways to work in a bipartisan way, to include voting on important bipartisan housing legislation, which I would have absolutely done,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I think it\u2019s also important to find ways to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-leaders-speak-out-on-infrastructure-after-white-house-meeting\/\" title=\"GOP le...ers speak out on infrastructure after White House meeting\">find middle ground<\/a> with people. I believe that we have way more in common across the aisle than we do that separates us. But I believe that the loudest voices on both sides are the ones that are making the most noise, and people think that that is what we should be listening to, and I do not think so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clark had her dead to rights. \u201cHow are voters to believe that you will stand up to people who you will not even name?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I think \u2014 because I think that if I name three and forget two, like, that\u2019s not going to help anyone,\u201d she said. \u201cAlso, I think it\u2019s important to understand that I think what we need to do is stand up for things that are right.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Democrat Eileen Laubacher, running against Republican Lauren Boebert, is running an ad that says she\u2019s \u201cdone with the extremists in both parties.\u201d Asked to name the extremists in the Democratic Party and how she\u2019d stand up to them, this is what happened: https:\/\/t.co\/oim9YETI6S<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sahilkapur\/status\/2109862645616496942?\">October 13, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>If this isn\u2019t a window into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lauren-boebert-says-missed-key-house-vote-misinformed-gop-staffers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boebert\u2019s<\/a> opponent \u2014 indeed, into Democrats in 2026 \u2014 what is?<\/p>\n<p>She claims to be a moderate, one who wants to be practical and fight against the extremes. In her one debate, before a friendly Denver outlet, she\u2019s asked the simplest question. Name one Democrat extremist. Just one.<\/p>\n<p>It shouldn\u2019t be difficult. Heck, she could have kicked Ilhan Omar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ilhan-omar-raid-gets-even-better-people-notice-hit-indigenous-peoples-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">while she was down<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-outbreak-modern-day-lynchings-killing-black-americans-aoc-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AOC<\/a> if she were feeling punchy. Go outside of the chamber she wants to enter and there\u2019s Sens. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democratic-senator-accused-violating-federal-law-anti-white-x-post\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ed Markey<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hakeem-jeffries-throws-shade-dem-sen-calls-endorse-mamdani-chris-van\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Van Hollen<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pete-hegseth-shuts-elizabeth-warren-heated-senate-hearing-clash-dont-know-looking-aint-gonna-find\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elizabeth Warren<\/a>. Go for it. Prove your bona fides.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, look at her stammering to name just <em>one<\/em> extremist on the side she wants to represent. A single one! And this isn\u2019t just putting her on the spot; she was practically inviting this by releasing the campaign ad that Clark was referencing.<\/p>\n<p>The progressive pronoun police of 2024 are now the cost-of-living scolds, with the caveat that nobody wants to mention who started us down the inflation highway. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/reaganomics-architect-sobering-message-biden-inflation-says-americans-need-buckle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a>, anyone? A Democratic Congress?)<\/p>\n<p>The Democrats would have us believe that they\u2019re the party of pragmatism. If that\u2019s true, they need to extirpate their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dont-be-fooled-the-left-is-gaslighting-on-the-economy\/\" title=\"Don...t Be Fooled\u2014the Left Is Gaslighting On The Economy\">left-wing element<\/a>.
