The warrant was reportedly approved by Judge Matthew Sharbaugh, who is a registered Democrat and a Democratic appointee. Boasberg, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alert-undeniable-boasberg-communist-connections-finally-surface-hosted-communist-propaganda-orgs-events-9-times-6-fisa-judge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">far-left creep<\/a> who has become the face of the anti-Trump resistance movement in federal court.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that Boasberg is the same Obama appointee who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/white-house-fires-back-judge-boasberg-issues-criminal-contempt-decision-trump-admin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">issued an order<\/a> last year stating that he\u2019d found probable cause to hold members of the Trump administration in criminal contempt for not complying with his directive to stop deporting criminal illegal aliens to El Salvador.<\/p>\n<p>Appearing on Fox News late Thursday, Turley stressed the significance of Sharbaugh\u2019s involvement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not the type of figure right out of some MAGA conspiracy,\u201d he correctly noted. \u201cThere\u2019s a judge who looked at this and said, \u2018Yeah, you\u2019ve got probable cause to go forward.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8 BREAKING: Legal expert Jonathan Turley just revealed that the judge who signed off on the federal raid of Ilhan Omar\u2019s home might be a DEMOCRAT DONOR<\/p>\n<p>Holy smokes! For example, after a so-called \u201cprotester\u201d spit in the face of then-Interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin last year, Sharbaugh chose to treat the \u201cprotester,\u201d Emily Gabriella Sommer, with kid gloves.<\/p>\n<p>D.C. station <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wusa9.com\/article\/news\/crime\/woman-charged-with-assault-for-spitting-on-former-acting-us-attorney-ed-martin-emily-gabriella-sommer\/65-f6336480-8cb4-4f63-bc1b-a66161f5dc2c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WUSA<\/a> reported at the time that though prosecutors had sought GPS monitoring for Sommer, Sharbaugh refused by citing the Jan. 6 riot that Democrats are so weirdly obsessed with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The defense] makes a good point,\u201d he said in court. \u201cThere were a lot of people charged in Jan. 6 accused of the same or worse where the government did not seek these conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it was just two months ago when Sharbough initially released a woman, Melissa Farris, who\u2019d defaced a World War II memorial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe judge did not impose electronic monitoring or require a third-party custodian,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/08\/18\/us\/politics\/wwii-memorial-vandalism-trump-pirro.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> reported, adding that all Sharbough had asked of Farris was that she stay outside of the D.C. area and surrender her passport.<\/p>\n<p>The evidence all points to Sharbough clearly being as left-wing as they come, though that hasn\u2019t stopped the left from screaming about \u201cright-wing fascism\u201d and \u201cattacks on black women\u201d and blah, blah, blah in the wake of Omar\u2019s home being raided.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This is an unadulterated abuse of power.
