A New York Times article discusses a legal case involving Jane Doe,who claims she was gang-raped at Cornell University. Critics point out that her account is questionable, emphasizing she was intoxicated during the incident and framing it as a &#8220;gangbang&#8221; rather than rape. Lawyer Thomas Giuffra argued that others should have prevented her from leaving her sorority house, despite her concealment of her intoxication, illustrating a debate over personal responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, an incident involving a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/high-school-football-player-calls-on-gavin-newsom-to-stop-restricting-sports-give-us-a-chance\/\" title=\"High School Football Player Calls On Gavin Newsom To Stop Restricting Sports: Give Us \u2018A Chance\u2019\">high school football player<\/a> in Santa Rosa, California, demonstrates censorship of viewpoints related too the Cornell case. The student expressed support for the &#8220;Cornell Seven&#8221; &#8211; the men Doe accused &#8211; and was punished for his opinion, reflecting broader concerns about free speech suppression among youth. Together, these incidents are seen by some as part of a larger trend of infantilizing women and vilifying men, undermining personal responsibility, and fueling societal divisions over gender and accountability.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two developments in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poland-migrants-attacking-border-with-full-aggression-using-stones-logs-metal-poles-as-weapons\/\" title=\"Poland: Migrants Attacking Border with &#039;Full Aggression&#039; Using &#039;Stones, Logs, Metal Poles as Weapons&#039;\">recent days show<\/a> just how bad things are getting for young adults following Jane Doe\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/09\/29\/the-last-elite-university-gang-rape-was-a-hoax-cornell-might-have-one-now-too\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/09\/29\/the-last-elite-university-gang-rape-was-a-hoax-cornell-might-have-one-now-too\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exceedingly thin claim<\/a> that she was gang-raped by frat men at Cornell University.<\/p>\n<p>The first one comes in a New York Times article from Saturday featuring some incredible quotes that should offend any self-respecting woman. The story <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/10\/10\/nyregion\/at-cornell-a-sorority-finds-itself-sued-by-one-of-its-own.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/10\/10\/nyregion\/at-cornell-a-sorority-finds-itself-sued-by-one-of-its-own.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">covered<\/a> the Delta Delta Delta sorority of which Doe was a member and which is named as a defendant in her lawsuit related to her rape claim. \u201cWhat do we expect to happen?\u201d said a Tri Delta alumna of Texas A&#038;M University identified as JoDee Neil. \u201cWe\u2019re not giving them (sorority members) any tools. And we\u2019re sending them off, basically, into a lion\u2019s den.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the type of therapy-speak too many women are growing familiar with in order to deflect and absolve themselves of accountability. What \u201ctools\u201d should a Greek life organization at a university be \u201cgiving\u201d to adults that would possibly prevent what allegedly happened at the Chi Phi fraternity house back in 2024?\u00a0Jane was 20 at the time she says she got drunk, did drugs, and then opted to have a threesome with two frat men. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/10\/06\/even-jane-does-own-story-about-the-cornell-7-is-a-bad-look-for-her\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/10\/06\/even-jane-does-own-story-about-the-cornell-7-is-a-bad-look-for-her\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">her lawsuit<\/a> filed last month doesn\u2019t claim she was forced, only that she wasn\u2019t capable of taking responsibility for her actions because she got drunk. This was, by her own <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/10\/09\/legacy-media-reports-on-cornell-jane-does-texts-left-out-our-body-our-choice-comment\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/10\/09\/legacy-media-reports-on-cornell-jane-does-texts-left-out-our-body-our-choice-comment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contemporaneous account<\/a>, a \u201cgangbang,\u201d not a gang rape.<\/p>\n<p>Another quote comes from Doe\u2019s lawyer, Thomas Giuffra, who I\u2019m half-convinced actually hates his client, given how absurd his arguments made on her behalf are. He told the Times that it was incumbent upon literally anyone but Doe to have ensured she never left the Tri Delta sorority house that night. \u201cSomebody should have said: \u2018Hey, no, you\u2019re intoxicated. You\u2019re not, you shouldn\u2019t be going outside. It\u2019s not safe,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cAnd that failed.\u201d Doe reportedly said in investigation proceedings after the incident that she hid her intoxication from an authority figure at the sorority house that night. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to tell her I was drunk because she\u2019s a mandated reporter,\u201d she said, according to the Times.<\/p>\n<p>So if she was hiding it, how is anyone supposed to stop her? And if they had tried and she insisted that she be let go to leave the house, then what? A sorority house isn\u2019t a prison. (Though maybe it should be.) The only logical conclusion is that women, at least young ones, can\u2019t be trusted to take care of themselves and therefore shouldn\u2019t be permitted to attend college without a chaperone.<\/p>\n<p>Around the same time that article cursed our nation\u2019s history, a high school football team captain in Santa Rosa, California, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kabc.com\/2026\/10\/13\/high-school-football-player-punished-for-cornell-seven-post\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.kabc.com\/2026\/10\/13\/high-school-football-player-punished-for-cornell-seven-post\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">punished<\/a> for expressing his First Amendment-protected opinion on the Cornell issue. He reportedly posted on social media, \u201cFree the Cornell Seven,\u201d a reference to the seven men Doe has accused of raping her. After some students protested, school officials announced it had taken action against him, though it\u2019s unclear what form of discipline he received. The student was also reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/10\/us-news\/california-high-school-students-walk-out-over-football-captains-cornell-7-post\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/10\/us-news\/california-high-school-students-walk-out-over-football-captains-cornell-7-post\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">excluded from a team dinner<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>In other words, for stating his view on a public controversy \u2014\u00a0a view widely shared by others \u2014 a young man was censored and effectively told his opinion doesn\u2019t count.
