Ilhan Omar\u2019s house was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-ilhan-omars-dc-home-raided-dhs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raided by immigration officials<\/a>, President Donald Trump asked the obvious question to voters in Ohio \u2014 namely, whether they wanted their state to be \u201cplundered, ransacked, and destroyed\u201d like their friends up north.<\/p>\n<p>Trump was in the state to support the 2026 Republican candidates for Senate and governor, Jon Husted and Vivek Ramaswamy, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>However, he also gave everyone a callback to a major flashpoint of his 2024 presidential campaign \u2014 namely, the town of Springfield, Ohio, which had been overrun by Haitian migrants.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we all remember this for the \u201cthey\u2019re eating the dogs\u2026 they\u2019re eating the cats\u201d clip from his debate with Kamala Harris, but there was a deeper issue at play. Springfield residents were worried about the burden on their community posed by a wave of immigrants that had come in during the Biden years \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/haitian-immigrants-springfield-ohio-looking-way-trump-win-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">up to 20,000, by estimates at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cIn Springfield they\u2019re eating the dogs. Omar, who was born in Somalia. There have long been questions about whether she\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/police-likely-amassed-compelling-evidence-end-long-investigation-ilhan-omar-even-raid-source\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">committed immigration fraud<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dhs-secretary-markwayne-mullin-says-ilhan-omar-married-brother-somethings-going-happen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one form or another<\/a>, to say nothing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ilhan-omars-new-financial-disclosure-takes-americans-fools-claims-spouse-made-little-200-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of other forms<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/deep-dive-new-financial-disclosure-casts-doubt-ilhan-omars-claim-not-millionaire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alleged financial shenanigans<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And, in Ohio \u2014 where both races could go either way \u2014 this should be a lesson to voters, Trump said during the Monday rally in Columbus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey come in, they have nothing, and they\u2019re the number one buyers of Mercedes Benz and BMWs in the state of Minnesota,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThe whole thing is crazy.
