Lewis admitted to opening fire as the officers were white, which he justified by stating he would have calmly interacted with black officers. The shooting occurred after neighbors reported Lewis carrying an armed individual outside his home. Officers responded,approached Lewis,and after a brief struggle,he shot at them. During his hospital stay, he mocked white officers and claimed he made more money then them. His past criminal record includes charges for firearms, drugs, assault, theft, and a previous unproved murder. Lewis, who was across the street at the time, then proceeded to approach Seiber and the other officer from behind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Lewis approached the officers, they asked whether he lived there\u2026 but he quickly began yelling and acting aggressively,\u201d according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA brief struggle followed, and just as the officers moved to check whether Lewis was armed \u2026 he shot them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When two other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/deputies-thought-responding-911-call-instead-ambush-kill-cops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">responding officers<\/a> arrived at the scene moments later, they found the original officers on the ground bleeding from their wounds.<\/p>\n<p>One of the officers, Seiber, died at a nearby hospital hours later.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Lewis ducked into a dark alleyway behind his home and used his hiding spot to open fire on additional responding officers.<\/p>\n<p>What proceeded was a nearly hour-long standoff that finally ended with Lewis being apprehended and taken to a hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>According to digital strategist Greg Price, who was able to review the actual arrest record, Lewis also used his time at the hospital to mock <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/white-cops-philadelphia-sue-city-alleged-racial-discrimination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">white police officers<\/a>, telling them that he made more money than them.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8 BREAKING: I have obtained the official arrest report for Eric Lewis\u2013 the man accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Lewis told the arresting officers that he shot and killed Officer Seiber, and wounded his partner, because they were white\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Price (@greg_price11) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/greg_price11\/status\/2109731117183926317?\">October 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Speaking with Philadelphia station <a href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/post\/brother-alleged-philadelphia-cop-killer-eric-lewis-says-he-had-angry-troubled-past\/19933646\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPVI<\/a>, Lewis\u2019 brother Kiel Lewis revealed that the unrepentant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/convicted-cop-killer-suffers-excruciating-conscious-pain-botched-firing-squad-execution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cop killer<\/a> has always had anger issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve known this man was an angry bird from the start of life,\u201d he bluntly said.<\/p>\n<p>His arrest record seems to fit.
