Clarkson visited the store, expressed interest in purchasing a mechanical bird puppet named Molly, and encountered what she perceived as rude treatment from the staff. She posted about her experience on social media, criticizing the shop for their attitude and questioning the authenticity of their story about the puppet\u2019s availability and price. The shop responded publicly, clarifying their side of the story and offering to resolve the misunderstanding, which Clarkson rejected, accusing them of lying and rudeness. clarkson also defended her support for small businesses while condemning the shop\u2019s conduct.
