Polls show a tightening race, raising concerns among Republicans about holding the seat, especially as Andrews gains significant media attention and campaign spending.graham faces internal challenges, including a recent debate struggle and a viral gaffe regarding national security. The race is further complicated by Libertarian Kasie Whitener’s involvement, which could pull votes from either side. Meanwhile, Republicans contend polls may be misleading, citing past races where predictions underestimated incumbents’ margins. President Trump has publicly supported Graham, criticizing Andrews with strong rhetoric.Democrats note Graham’s campaign has been marred by gaffes and she lacks the incumbency advantage her late brother, lindsey Graham, previously held. The upcoming debate and the overall political climate will be critical in determining the election outcome,as both sides prepare for a closely contested race.

    Read more…

Advertisement

Republicans are brushing off signs of an unexpectedly competitive Senate race in South Carolina, where President Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate is locked in a statistical tie with her Democratic opponent less than a month before Election Day.

Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC), who was appointed to replace her late brother Lindsey Graham in July, is running neck and neck with Democrat Annie Andrews in a state Trump carried by 18 percentage points in 2024, according to polling averages from RealClearPolitics.

.explore-more-section { background: var(--wex-bg);
