Some protesters expressed disappointment with Mamdani\u2019s response to the Oct. 7 attacks, viewing his statements as tone-deaf and criticizing his perceived reluctance to fully support Palestine. Notably, despite Mamdani\u2019s focus on local issues, the protesters felt he failed to uphold their expectations regarding international actions, leading to a significant challenge to his support within his voter base.
