She has pneumonia. She is not able to swallow yet, so she is not eaten. She cannot move either of her arms. Both of her arms and hands are tremendously swollen, and we do not know what, if any, function she will regain in her arms,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Stephen Ferrell said that although Pike was \u201cfoggy,\u201d he was told she was able to walk, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c60rln74yzvxo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s been described to me is that physically there\u2019s quite a bit going on, that her arms are very injured and she\u2019s not able to use them very much,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe is up and walking for the first time today, but just around the room, not very far,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He described her mental state as \u201ckind of good and bad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood that she is fairly with it, but she\u2019s also somewhat foggy. She can lose her train of thought really easily and forgets where she\u2019s going.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ferrell said it was uncertain how far Pike\u2019s recovery would progress.<\/p>\n<p>Carrie Ross, a sister of Pike\u2019s late mother, Carissa, said doctors contacted the family Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were taking her off the ventilator,\u201d Ross said, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.com\/crime-desk\/article-16190497\/christa-pike-family-speak-execution-tennessee.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cThey were going to let her go \u2014 let her die \u2014 at 1 o\u2019clock.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"fr\">Et maintenant?
