Objectively speaking, Bryan\u2019s music is just better than Macklemore\u2019s. And objectively speaking, Bryan is a <em>much <\/em>bigger deal in his respective field than Macklemore ever was.<\/p>\n<p>But in another way, Bryan is exactly the same as Macklemore.<\/p>\n<p>Both men are entertainers who\u2019ve apparently decided that supporting Hamas terrorists was the next best logical step for their careers.<\/p>\n<p>(To be fair, Macklemore probably needs it more than Bryan.)<\/p>\n<p>Macklemore, if you\u2019ll recall, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pro-lgbt-rapper-macklemore-announces-free-palestine-tour-no-shows-middle-east\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">threw a hissy fit<\/a> that the owner of Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts (Robert Kraft), had asked the rapper to refrain from sloganeering \u201cFree Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The anti-Semitic cabal naturally latched onto Macklemore after this, resulting in the first bit of relevance for Macklemore since 2013.<\/p>\n<p>And, naturally, Macklemore seized on this notoriety to book a \u201cFree Palestine\u201d tour that, conveniently, skips over stopping anywhere near the West Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Given that one of Macklemore\u2019s more popular songs (\u201cSame Love\u201d) is basically an LGBT rap anthem, that\u2019s probably a smart move.<\/p>\n<p>But, of course, if one overrated entertainer is getting outsized attention, another is probably right behind them.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan fulfilled that when he \u2014 also at Gillette \u2014 had his Saturday concert. Which is\u2026interesting https:\/\/t.co\/C5QIKntlZx<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Appodlachia (@appodlachia) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/appodlachia\/status\/2106477709748474133?\">October 3, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>So the entirety of Bryan\u2019s shirt read, \u201cFree Palestine\u2026 Appeal to Heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And for the unaware, \u201cAppeal to Heaven\u201d is actually heavily associated with Christianity. In fact, the disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.splcenter.org\/resources\/hatewatch\/christian-supremacy-appeal-heaven-flag-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">described<\/a> the \u201cAppeal to Heaven\u201d flag (which began as a Revolutionary War flag) as a symbol of \u201cChristian supremacy,\u201d whatever that means, coming from the SPLC.<\/p>\n<p>So\u2026 which is it, Bryan? Is that shirt supposed to be a far-left symbol supporting Hamas terrorists? Or is that shirt supposed to be a far-right symbol supporting \u201cChristian supremacy\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>Because from this writer\u2019s perspective, there\u2019s really only two explanations for Bryan\u2019s peculiar shirt \u2014 and neither exactly helps his case.<\/p>\n<p>The first possible explanation is that Bryan is trying to subvert a Christian phrase\/symbol on behalf of Palestinians. Given the timing and venue of this stunt, there\u2019s a real possibility that this is what actually happened.<\/p>\n<p>The other possibility is that Bryan is trying to be \u201cpolitically moderate\u201d so as not to alienate his fans. He\u2019s trying to \u201cboth-side\u201d the issue.<\/p>\n<p>And both explanations, frankly, are pretty cowardly. If you\u2019re going to support Palestinians, do it unequivocally and stop trying to subvert Christian teachings to say something it\u2019s not. All you\u2019re going to do is alienate the Muslim pro-Palestinians and Christian fans.<\/p>\n<p>If this is Bryan trying to be a cultural moderate? Well, not sure how to break this to him, but the first part of his vapid shirt is plenty politically charged as it is.
