Leaving the European Union apparently hasn\u2019t helped matters for Britain, at least if they\u2019re not willing to enforce their border laws.<\/p>\n<p>And while the British media insists it\u2019s the so-called \u201cfar-right\u201d that has been behind this anger, Mahmood insisted this was actually a problem everyone owned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, at heart, what they\u2019re really describing is like anger and rage that gangs that get to decide who comes to our country, and we don\u2019t. We\u2019re not in control of this border,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sifting of the people that end up in the north of France and are about to get on a dinghy is done by criminal gangs who are also, by the way, people traffickers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can almost guarantee that every woman that\u2019s in the north of France has probably been raped along the journey. Some of the men too, they\u2019ve certainly been abused and threatened,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is not the model that should decide whether somebody gets to come to the U.K., make this their place of sanctuary and ultimately become one of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Palestine Action Proscription: Lawful or Overreaching? | Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood MP\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3BYug2kpp_s?start=1859&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Mahmood\u2019s remarks came a day after roughly 300 anti-immigration protesters battled with authorities and boats containing dozens of migrants; the Daily Mail reported that these boat immigrants came via a \u201cnew route\u201d to \u201cevade detection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlares were set off during the stand-off at a marina in Gosport that lasted into the early hours of Monday morning,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, nearly 150 illegal immigrants were picked up in a mid-Channel interdiction described as a rescue by both the U.K. and France, the British Home Office said.<\/p>\n<p>You might say that this is a problem that they could and should have anticipated before this happened, and that\u2019s true. But then, we ought to be looking in the mirror in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Consider back in 2024 when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/latino\/mexican-cartel-sexual-violence-migrant-women-abortion-laws-rcna145164\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>, ever liberal, blamed the Republicans for restrictive abortion policies, because cartels were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/az-mayor-expresses-outrage-feds-tell-illegal-immigrants-dropped-off-community-problem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raping illegal immigrants<\/a> who they trafficked to states that didn\u2019t allow them to kill unborn children.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Six weeks after a young asylum-seeker from El Salvador crossed into the U.S. from Mexico, she realized <strong>she was carrying a rape-related pregnancy<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The woman \u2014 who like the other women interviewed for this article aren\u2019t being identified for security reasons \u2014 said she was sexually assaulted by the Mexican cartel that was holding her hostage in the dangerous border town of Reynosa, in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas, just a few miles from the U.S. border.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Once in Texas and unable to get an abortion, she found herself stuck between America\u2019s immigration system and the state\u2019s abortion ban.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She\u2019s not alone. She\u2019s one of an alarming number of migrants who are entering the U.S. with unwanted pregnancies. She\u2019s also a victim of a disturbing pattern of violence that\u2019s emerging on the Mexican side of the border, where cartels are systematically kidnapping and collecting ransom from migrants on their way north. <strong>Those who can\u2019t pay with money are made to pay with their bodies<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You would think that the story here would have been the fact that cartels had been raping women who were illegally immigrating. Consider the millions who entered under the Biden administration with the cartels controlling the border. How many women \u2014 or men, for that matter \u2014 were raped during that time?<\/p>\n<p>But no, it\u2019s all about abortion laws, not about importing the Third World into the First World. Apparently, the only time rape isn\u2019t important is if the rapist is involved in the mass demographic shift of America. Then they\u2019re secondary to the atrocity that is\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/christian-abortion-protesters-fight-back-texas-arrests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">banning the murder of the unborn<\/a>. Words, beyond that point, fail a writer.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that the only reason Mahmood is pretending to care about this is the fact that her current boss, Prime Minister Andy Burnham, represents what feels like the 46th different PM the country has had in the 2020s. (Actually fifth \u2014 but it\u2019s my lived experience that counts, right?) She knows that immigration is a hot-button issue, that it\u2019s within her remit, and that she\u2019s not in a position to sugar-coat it.<\/p>\n<p>When even the U.K. left is admitting the dangerous externalities from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-approval-rating-plummets-in-blue-states\/\" title=\"Biden...s Approval Rating Plummets in Blue States\">rampant illegal immigration<\/a>, why can\u2019t the American left do the same? Instead, they blame <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-tom-homan-leaves-cbs-journalist-speechless-frozen-camera-simple-ice-question-cant-answer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immigration and Customs Enforcement<\/a> and Donald Trump for the problems, not their own failed policies. And when their failed policies come home to roost, as NBC News reported, the onus isn\u2019t on the rapist, but on the state which doesn\u2019t allow them to kill their child.
