This move was prompted by an apparent Iranian-backed terror threat, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-gop-committee-chairman-to-treasury-hand-over-info-on-biden-family-business-deals\/\" title=\"New GOP Committee Ch...man To Treasury: Hand Over Info On Biden Family Business Deals\">including suspicious activity<\/a> near the base and threats from Iran promising retaliation for U.S. actions. Five men were detained for suspicious behavior, but later released on bail amid criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump. Why? Because England is no longer considered a safe country for such expensive pieces of kit to be kept in.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Plane Stupi<\/strong><strong>d<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Prior to the B-1s being withdrawn, RAF Fairford appeared to be <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2026_RAF_Fairford_arrests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the target <\/a>of an attempted Iranian-backed terror attack. In the early hours of Sept. 27, a female farmer spotted men clad in balaclavas gathered around white vans near the airbase perimeter. Iran had already made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2026\/sep\/28\/men-arrested-raf-fairford-counter-terrorism-police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">open threats<\/a> against RAF Fairford, promising revenge for its ongoing role in launching U.S. strikes against Tehran. Naturally, the farmer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c6j9xmd0730mo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a> the special military-police phone number to report suspicious activity. Equally naturally, this being Great Britain in 2026, nobody answered.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities arrested five men, and a bomb disposal robot searched the vehicles \u2014 the initial assumption being explosives were hidden inside \u2014 although investigators later assured the public this was not the case; they were just barrels, at least one containing fuel, which possess zero explosive qualities at all. As of now, the general theory is that the suspects were paid by Iran to act as proxies to sabotage the base, or test out its security. Tehran has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/10\/1\/uk-pm-burnham-says-iran-likely-behind-raf-base-incident-is-there-evidence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a> this idea \u201cIranophobia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the men were, the extraordinary decision was quickly made to grant them all bail. President Donald Trump said that choice \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/europe\/20260929-trump-surprised-uk-granted-bail-to-suspects-alleged-airbase-terror-plot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">surprised<\/a>\u201d him and he wouldn\u2019t have released the men. Meanwhile, around the same time the potential bombers were being released, a white anti-immigration campaigner was receiving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c8vgy7ww21rqo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two years behind bars<\/a> for the far more severe \u201ccrime\u201d of tossing a plastic bottle into the air in protest at all the Iranian terrorists being allowed into the country. It\u2019s no wonder Trump withdrew his planes, is it?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Pure Riff-RAF<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Investigations continue, and nobody fully knows what truly happened here yet, least of all, one suspects, the relevant U.K. authorities. The <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/us-removes-all-air-force-bombers-from-raf-fairford-after-suspected-terror-plot-13595162\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">latest speculation<\/a> from U.S. officials is that Iran may possibly have been planning a drone attack. What we can say with absolute certainty, however, is that the whole fiasco exposes just how rickety the entire British national security infrastructure is now perceived to be, by allies and foes alike.  <\/p>\n<p>There are several joint U.S.-U.K. military airbases across England, dating back to the Cold War, when the country still controlled its borders properly and enemies within were fairly scarce. As a result, external security is often <a href=\"https:\/\/unherd.com\/2026\/10\/how-britains-military-bases-are-imperilled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">surprisingly poor<\/a>, consisting of little more than simple chain-link fences.<\/p>\n<p>If Iran really wanted to damage U.S. planes, it would probably be far easier to do it using paid illegal immigrant proxies in England than surface-to-air missiles over the Gulf of Hormuz. British RAF bases have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/migrant-interviews-debunk-biden-dhs-false-talking-point-about-cartel-disinformation\/\" title=\"Migrant interviews disprove Biden DHS&#039; cartel &#039;disinformation&#039; claim.\">easily breached<\/a> beforehand by criminals no more sophisticated than keffiyeh-loving middle-class student-types. Only last year, a ragtag rabble from the left-wing activist mob Palestine Action easily managed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cx24nppdx0lo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">break into<\/a> RAF Brize Norton, damaging military refueling aircraft by spray-painting them red. At least two vandals breached security whilst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2025\/jun\/20\/palestine-action-to-be-banned-after-vandalising-planes-at-raf-base\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">riding<\/a> e-scooters.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cj0yyvj7jmmo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pro-Hamas<\/a> vandals only had paint. Actual imported Hamas members could have had nitroglycerin. So seriously do the powers-that-be take security at RAF Brize Norton that, following the attack, the BBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/videos\/czxwvp7lykko\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">broadcast an actual guide<\/a> effectively educating evil-doers how best to break in there! (Just look for \u201cweaker spots, perhaps covered in foliage\u201d with \u201cslightly smaller fences, no barbed wire,\u201d advised the helpful reporter.)  <\/p>\n<p>At the same RAF base in 2023, a pointless queer DEI hire Estates Facilities Manager called Sara Hayes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raf.mod.uk\/our-organisation\/stations\/raf-brize-norton\/news\/rainbow-crossing-unveiled-at-raf-brize-norton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">installed<\/a> the first gay-friendly RAF \u201crainbow crossing.\u201d She evidently felt protecting visiting trans-identifying individuals from being run over by passing aircrews was far more important than ensuring that certain lengths of the perimeter fencing were not obscured from sentries\u2019 beady eyes by excessive \u201cfoliage.\u201d The base\u2019s then-overall commander was a mere HR lady posing as a soldier, who has in the past <a href=\"https:\/\/spectator.com\/article\/raf-brize-norton-chiefs-views-on-patriotism-revealed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complained<\/a> that \u201cpersonality traits such as patriotism and bravery are viewed as desirable within the military.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>There\u2019s Just No Defense for This <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Lax security on U.K. bases is an extension of lax security across the nation as a whole. It is telling that, when told of events at RAF Fairford, Prime Minister Andy Burnham <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PolitlcsUK\/status\/2104154674303484052\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was forced to cancel<\/a> very important business to rush off to a security meeting. That important business was not inspecting troops, balancing the budget, or securing the borders, but playing a PR-friendly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Dd1q9ctj2_8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">game of soccer<\/a> at the former stadium of his favorite team, Everton FC, with fellow time-wasting MPs.  <\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<figure><figcaption>\n<div>\n<p>No wonder Labour lost 2-0; they had no defenders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Burnham has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c5yw3223w1vo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">openly pledged<\/a> to prioritize \u201csocial security\u201d over \u201cnational security\u201d by handing out free welfare checks to client voters (including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/hamas-terror-chief-exposed-living-london-public-housing-project-funded-uk-taxpayers-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hamas members<\/a> living at taxpayer expense in central London). His governing left-wing Labour Party is only able to claim to an increasingly angry and NATO-skeptical Trump that they are \u201cincreasing\u201d the country\u2019s defense budget by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/starmer-count-rural-broadband-defence-103955614.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spuriously including things<\/a> like bridges that tanks might one day have to drive over, possibly, maybe, and \u201crural broadband\u201d in its obviously false accounts. <\/p>\n<p>Great Britain\u2019s military possesses ships that don\u2019t work if the water is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2016\/jun\/07\/destroyers-will-break-down-if-sent-to-middle-east-admits-royal-navy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">too warm<\/a> (or too wet) and troop-carriers which can\u2019t be used as their excessive internal noise and vibrations make the troops <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2026\/03\/28\/ajax-vehicles-leave-soldiers-deaf-but-mod-rolling-them-out\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">go deaf<\/a>. A new reality-TV show, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=m0zV0wrvKCg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Wargame<\/em><\/a>, in which real-life ex-politicians were tasked with defending the nation from an imminent Russian attack after the U.S. quite rationally withdraws all military aid for the reasons outlined above, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/culture\/tv-radio\/article\/its-the-end-of-the-world-with-michael-gove-ns93px2l0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">showed<\/a> how delusional and unserious U.K. statesmen are. Former Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon, when told Putin intended to bomb Britain\u2019s nuclear deterrent, implied we should let him, because nuclear weapons are bad, whilst former Cabinet Minister Harriet Harman just suggested banning social media, the Labour Party\u2019s apparent answer to everything.       <\/p>\n<p>All across America\u2019s supposed greatest and most indispensable ally, in countryside villages like <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/07\/31\/the-foreign-invasion-in-the-uk-will-ruin-your-english-countryside-vacation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Piddington<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cr209zjgg4pgo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bicester<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cvgjm61lkl4o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disused<\/a> ex-army and air-force barracks are being recklessly transformed into brand-new illegal migrant camps for fighting-age men from some of the West\u2019s greatest recent enemies, whether Iran or Afghanistan. And then the government is <em>surprised <\/em>when its remaining functioning genuine military bases come under internal attack from within?<\/p>\n<p>Due to current absurd British \u201cdefense\u201d policies, the most dangerous theater for British troops is fast becoming the British homeland itself. It would be far more prudent for NATO to establish bases in Iran instead; there are fewer Iranians there than in England right now.
