What I can tell you is that Bryan, a country star who built his reputation on decency and kinship with blue-collar fans, is now parading around Gillette Stadium \u2014 where Macklemore got himself banned from due to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pro-lgbt-rapper-macklemore-announces-free-palestine-tour-no-shows-middle-east\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anti-Semitic, pro-Palestine rhetoric<\/a>, kicking off one of the dumber woke controversies of recent years \u2014 wearing a \u201cFree Palestine\u201d T-shirt.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/zach-bryan-gillette-attendance-record-free-palestine-shirt-1236353916\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Billboard<\/a>, which reported that Bryan\u2019s Saturday concert broke the record for attendance at the Foxborough, Massachusetts venue:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Bryan drew headlines after his opening night at the Kraft Group-owned venue on Friday (Oct. 2), when he wore a black T-shirt reading \u201cFree Palestine.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Members of Bryan\u2019s band were also spotted wearing matching shirts, according to TMZ. Crafty Robert Kraft and his Israeli backers made a HUGE miscalculation trying to silence Macklemore because the whole thing has completely backfired in their faces. https:\/\/t.co\/ijaGciNijd https:\/\/t.co\/jN4kO5Tl9H<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Omar Jabara (@JuiceDog67) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JuiceDog67\/status\/2106896912377172270?\">October 4, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting what this proves: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rapper-macklemore-claims-dropped-tour-merely-saying-free-palestine-old-pictures-prove-lie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Macklemore wasn\u2019t banned<\/a> for saying \u201cFree Palestine,\u201d but instead for openly anti-Semitic antics like imagery of a U.S. hundred-dollar bill intertwined with the Israeli flag in a jigsaw puzzle and appearing on stage wearing a keffiyeh.<\/p>\n<p>That being said, Bryan\u2019s fanbase is different from that of Macklemore or other artists loudly banging on about the necessity of freeing an entity that was effectively free before it attacked, murdered, and raped thousands of innocent people in the nation that had left it alone, for the most part, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-just-30-seconds-bill-maher-uses-actual-history-defeat-one-palestinians-dirtiest-gaza-lies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">since 2005<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Macklemore\u2019s fans \u2014 such as they may have still existed before this kerfuffle; the rapper was, before the controversy, about as relevant as the Commodore Amiga or a Studebaker \u2014 were privileged wokeistas, and proud of it. Meanwhile, Bryan relies on red-state voters, who aren\u2019t precisely as eager to take up keffiyeh-wearing or Jew-baiting.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s effectively what Bryan is signing them up for. Over two-thirds of Gazans \u2014 68 percent \u2014 support armed terrorism against Israel, according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/aijac.org.au\/australia-israel-review\/palestinian-views-on-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australia\/Israel Review<\/a> of the polling between 2014 and 2026. Over half of them still supported the Oct. 7 attacks, according to a November 2025 survey by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejc.com\/news\/israel\/palestinians-back-october-7-poll-d285fg8w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan is also much more relevant than Macklemore is. Unlike the rapper, who has seen better days profile-wise, Bryan is effectively at the apex of his fame. His three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/zach-bryan\/chart-history\/hsi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">most recent albums<\/a> have reached Nos. 1 or 2 on the Billboard 200 charts, and his self-titled 2023 album has spent 162 weeks on the chart.<\/p>\n<p>But then, perhaps we should have expected this from Bryan. Consider that his most recent album included \u201cBad News,\u201d which disparages the enforcement of immigration law. Consider, too, the fact that he\u2019s been accused of \u201cemotional abuse\u201d by ex-girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia of Barstool Sports.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-independent.com\/life-style\/brianna-lapaglia-zach-bryan-abuse-relationship-b2643837.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K. Independent<\/a>, she alleges that Bryan offered her $12 million to sign a non-disclosure agreement about their relationship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude,\u201d she said on her podcast. \u201cI\u2019m still scared right now because I\u2019m scared of him. My brain\u2019s rewired and I\u2019m scared to make him mad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Is that true? Perhaps. I\u2019m inclined to believe that someone who\u2019ll casually don a T-shirt advocating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hamas-carries-wave-public-executions-bid-reestablish-rule-gaza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for the cause of a terror-ridden society<\/a> will also inflict terror upon others.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case, this is someone who\u2019s deeply afraid of losing the spotlight and knows what exactly the liberal media would do if he played <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/muslim-mayor-dearborn-invites-rapper-booted-stadium-tour-anti-israel-rant-perform-city\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gillette Stadium<\/a> and didn\u2019t offer a rejoinder to the Macklemore situation. His label would be proud. His fans, not so much.
