It\u2019s \u201can invitation to embrace an unnatural, unrepressed Christianity\u201d as if <em>anyone<\/em> is seeking that. His essay ends with this claim: \u201c[Polyamory] is here to stay, and it is past time for Christians to engage it thoughtfully, humbly, and openly.\u201d He is not a lone voice.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Amelang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lptexas.org\/executive_committee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">leads<\/a> the Libertarian Party of Texas and is the father of 12 children. He\u2019s also a <a href=\"https:\/\/biblicalfamilies.net\/team\/andrew-amelang\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worship leader<\/a> for an organization called \u201cBiblical Families.\u201d His official biography at the group\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/welcome-home-now-get-the-hell-out-illegal-aliens-already-bused-out-of-marthas-vineyard\/\" title=\"Welcome Home, Now Get The Hell Out: Illegal Aliens Already Bused Out Of Martha\u2019s Vineyard\">website proudly boasts<\/a> he has a wife named Cheryl and two very long-term live-in girlfriends, Ginny and Ann. He calls it \u201cplural marriage,\u201d but of course it\u2019s not. No civilized society that honors women tolerates collecting them. Amelang is a polyamorist, persuading women normative monogamy is not <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC3260845\/pdf\/rstb20110290.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in their best interest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Polyamory is unfortunately having its day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2026\/sep\/15\/seattle-non-monogamy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eleven<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/news\/detroit\/2026\/06\/michigan-city-first-in-the-midwest-to-shield-polyamorous-relationships.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">U.S.<\/a> cities now proudly offer the poly-minded various bundles of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/andrew-cuomos-5-worst-moves-as-new-yorks-governor\/\" title=\"Andrew Cuomo\u2019s 5 Worst Moves As New York\u2019s Governor\">legal protections<\/a>. Seattle\u2019s clownish city council was the latest to do so, giving the movement its first truly landmark development.<\/p>\n<p>Seattle unanimously beknighted group-sex participants with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kuow.org\/governing\/2026-09-15\/seattle-makes-polyamorous-pan-and-asexual-people-a-protected-class\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">legal protected class status<\/a> and deemed it a new sexual orientation. You read that right. The proposal was signed into law by Seattle\u2019s mayor on Sept. 18. You have to read the city clerk\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/seattle.legistar.com\/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=8175165&#038;GUID=01C70EAD-3964-4E26-8DDF-E42FD2C8AB8F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official explainer<\/a> to grasp just how unhinged and expansive this is. The ordinance:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>amend[s] the definition of the sexual orientation protected class to recognize gender identities outside the gender binary, recognize pansexuality and asexuality as orientations, and include consensual relationships with multiple partners as an element of attitudes, preferences, and practices pertaining to sexual orientation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s gender theory jibber-jabber. It describes nothing that is real or what any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/america-isnt-free-as-long-as-its-press-works-for-democrats\/\" title=\"America Isn&#039;t Free As Long As Its Press Works For Democrats\">civil society requires<\/a>. Not only are polyamory and all forms of mutually agreed upon infidelity now legally protected classes and new sexual orientations, but so is pansexuality in a major American city. Of course, \u201cpansexuality\u201d is not a thing. It is merely the new queer system upgrade to the now embarrassingly retrograde binary B. For that matter, so is the fundamentally binary G and L. <\/p>\n<p>Late this summer, The New York Times asked its readers \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/07\/29\/podcasts\/polyamory-dating-elisabeth-sheff.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Is Polyamory Right for You?<\/a>\u201d The piece\u2019s early-30-something female scribe observed, \u201cAt least in my specific corner of the world, it feels as if we\u2019ve reached peak poly saturation.\u201d We have not. They have so much more in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Open is the name of a U.S. advocacy \u201corganization for polyamory and ethical non-monogamy\u201d founded in 2022. It runs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open-love.org\/legislativeadvocacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">active campaigns<\/a> like Seattle\u2019s across our country. As we have seen, their successes have not been minimal.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>After <em>Obergefell v. Hodges<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before Seattle\u2019s landmark regress, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2026\/may\/03\/polyamory-legal-protections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Guardian<\/a> noted in May that \u201cPolyamorous Americans are celebrating new laws establishing their \u2018inherent worth and dignity.\u2019\u201d Note that language. Polyamorists are doing today what same-sex couples desperate for legitimization did more than 20 years ago: Redefining marriage, and thus, the family. This is not a slippery slope claim. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/crt\/legacy\/2015\/06\/26\/obergefellhodgesopinion.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Obergefell v. Hodges<\/em><\/a>  is the bottom of that slope. We are merely finding polyamory sitting right there next to it.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Chief Justice John Roberts made this very observation in his strong <a href=\"https:\/\/polyinthemedia.blogspot.com\/2015\/06\/in-chief-justice-roberts-dissent-route.html#:~:text=If%20not%20having%20the%20opportunity%20to%20marry%20%E2%80%9Cserves%20to%20disrespect%20and%20subordinate%E2%80%9D%20gay%20and%20lesbian%20couples%2C%20why%20wouldn%E2%80%99t%20the%20same%20%E2%80%9Cimposition%20of%20this%20disability%2C%E2%80%9D%20ante%2C%20at%2022%2C%20serve%20to%20disrespect%20and%20subordinate%20people%20who%20find%20fulfillment%20in%20polyamorous%20relationships%3F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Obergefell<\/em> dissent<\/a> in 2015. He asked, \u201cIf not having the opportunity to marry \u2018serves to disrespect and subordinate\u2019 gay and lesbian couples, why wouldn\u2019t the same \u2018imposition of this disability\u2019 serve to disrespect and subordinate people who find fulfillment in polyamorous relationships?\u201d They are connected like rail cars.<\/p>\n<p>All redefinition of marriage is a civilizational attack, be it no-fault divorce, same-sex marriage, or polyamory.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Civilizing Men<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>George Gilder explains in the opening of his prescient book, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/menmarriage00gild\/page\/n7\/mode\/2up\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Men and Marriage<\/em><\/a>, how monogamy and male\/female complementarity are <em>essential<\/em> for human civilization because male sexuality is categorically distinct from female. In fact, unbridled male sexuality is every society\u2019s first and must fundamental social problem. Woman\u2019s civilizing influence via normative monogamy is the <a href=\"https:\/\/papers.ssrn.com\/sol3\/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2705603\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">natural answer<\/a>. Humanity has called that marriage from <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/historyofhumanma01west\/page\/n5\/mode\/2up\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pre-civilizational days<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In his first chapter\u2019s opening sentence, Gilder states, \u201cThe crucial process of civilization is the subordination of the male sexual impulses and biology to the long-term horizons of female sexuality.\u201d He continues, \u201cThe prime fact of life is the sexual superiority of women\u201d because \u201cwomen transform male lust into love; channel male wanderlust into jobs, homes and families; link men to specific children; rear children into citizens, change hunters into fathers; divert male will to power into a drive to create.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You undo that, and you undo life-giving civilization.<\/p>\n<p>This is what the whole sexual revolution has always been about. Its ravaging architects have been warning us with every regressive advance. Their strategic appeal to our kindness through manipulative claims of tolerance has paved the way. We continue to fall for it. Polyamory is now advancing because good men fail to connect the dots. Women\u00a0and children deserve better.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Glenn T.
