The Giants went on to win, 36-24.<\/p>\n<p>An NFL spokesman told NBC News the league was reviewing the matter. Broadcast audio did not pick up the words cleanly, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-expected-to-push-build-back-better-vote-into-2022\/\" title=\"Senate Expected To Push Build Back Better Vote Into 2022\">multiple outlets reported<\/a> that Seeman appeared to shout a profanity at McBride twice.<\/p>\n<p>McBride turned toward the CBS camera, pointed at it, and laughed. A Cardinals staffer then directed him away from the official.<\/p>\n<p>CBS sideline reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala, who wrote that she was standing next to the exchange, said the argument began with McBride asking for a pass-interference flag.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s wild is that it all started with Trey McBride saying \u2018please\u2019 when pleading his case for a PI flag,\u201d she wrote. \u201cHe was heated for sure, but I never heard a curse from him. The harshest he got was, \u2018You\u2019re ruining the game.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NFL Players Association executive director JC Tretter posted the video and called the official\u2019s conduct unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlayers are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-threatens-california-lawsuit-over-womens-prison-sexual-abuse\/\" title=\"DOJ threatens California lawsuit over women\u2019s prison sexual abuse\">consistently held accountable<\/a> when the roles are reversed,\u201d Tretter wrote. \u201cWe expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable. The union\u2019s statement treated the exchange as a conduct issue, not a judgment on the pass-interference call McBride had been arguing.<\/p>\n<p>NBC News reported that Seeman has worked as an NFL official since 2002. The league did not immediately say whether he would be reassigned or disciplined while the review is open.<\/p>\n<p>An NFL spokesperson did not answer NBC News on whether the league has a written rule governing officials\u2019 language toward players. Under league rules, a player can be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct following \u201cabusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures\u201d directed at opponents, teammates, officials, or league representatives.<\/p>\n<p>That player rule is the comparison Tretter drew.
