Van Houten <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/4744794\/district-attorney-reopens-investigation-alleged-gang-rape-cornell-university\/\">revived the case<\/a> on Monday based on new evidence filed by the alleged sexual assault victim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Van Houten reopened the case after Doe filed a lawsuit alleging seven then-members of Cornell\u2019s Chi Phi fraternity drugged and sexually assaulted her at the fraternity house in October 2024.
