Free housing, cash, healthcare, food, phones, college tuition, even car insurance\u2014costing taxpayers more than $10 billion per year.<\/p>\n<p>We went inside the system and exposed it all. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oJh0mpstzN\">pic.twitter.com\/oJh0mpstzN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Christopher Rufo (@christopherrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/christopherrufo\/status\/2102765171479568630?\">September 23, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause she is not and the child is, she only gets money for the child, and not for her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the City Journal, a family with two parents who are illegal aliens, two children born in the United States, and one grandparent in the country illegally can rake in $100,000 of welfare per year.<\/p>\n<p>Even though \u201cfederal law generally prohibits states from using federal dollars to serve illegal aliens,\u201d the City Journal noted that \u201cto dodge those restrictions, California created parallel state- and locally funded programs that allowed the state to extend benefits to illegal immigrants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For instance, while Medicaid funds cannot provide wraparound coverage for illegal aliens, California used \u201ca state-funding \u2018bucket\u2019 within its Medi-Cal program to extend \u2018full-scope\u2019 coverage to illegal aliens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expansions enrolled some 1.7 million people, costing the state an estimated $10 billion annually \u2014 more than twice what the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >state legislative analyst originally projected<\/a>,\u201d the report added.<\/p>\n<p>California Democratic Gov.
