Not Saudi Arabia. Not Afghanistan. England.<\/p>\n<p>Still further, the mosque received charitable status this April. Not only does this organization promote abusing women and murdering homosexuals, it receives tax exemptions from the British government. The British people are essentially subsidizing domestic abuse with their taxpayer money.<\/p>\n<p>A key point from Munye\u2019s message to reference is his use of the word \u201clightly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd discipline them physically as well,\u201d he said, \u201cby lightly hitting them to show who is in charge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In modern translations of the Quran, the word \u201clightly\u201d is bracketed, informing the reader that this was not in the original text.<\/p>\n<p>Wife-beating aside, Munye spent a significant amount of time talking about \u201cthe people of Lot\u201d \u2014 homosexuals. \u201cThey are killed in the Sharia,\u201d he said. \u201cScholars, they differ on how the execution occurs. Some of them say he is executed through the sword, like every other normal execution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOthers say that they are thrown off of a tall building and rocks are thrown after that on top of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those final lines now survive only in print, as the Hackney Islamic Community Centre has removed its online videos \u2014 likely due to the National Secular Society\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secularism.org.uk\/news\/2026\/09\/charity-sermon-says-men-can-hit-wives-to-show-whos-in-charge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> to the Charity Commission. The mosque\u2019s YouTube channel is similarly nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n<p>That said, we don\u2019t need Munye\u2019s ideas written down. They\u2019re already in the Quran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Prophet said: If you find anyone doing as Lot\u2019s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done\u201d (Sunan Abi Dawud 4462).<\/p>\n<p>Please, don\u2019t get the wrong idea: Christians do horrific things, because Christians are also sinners in need of God\u2019s mercy.<\/p>\n<p>The difference is that our highest example, Jesus, treats broken women with dignity (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=mark%205%3A25-34&#038;version=ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark 5:25\u201334<\/a>), forgives sinners (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=john%208%3A1-11&#038;version=ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John 8:1\u201311<\/a>), cares for children (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2019%3A14&#038;version=ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthew 19:14<\/a>), and commands us to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>Trouble only arises when the Christian ignores the teachings of his Savior.<\/p>\n<p>A bad Christian strays from the cross to commit violence.
