Notably, the GOP is investing heavily in states like Texas, Ohio, Iowa, and Alaska, where recent polling and political dynamics have shifted. As September 1, over $163 million has been spent by Trump-affiliated groups on advertising, with significant portions allocated to solidify Republican positions in key races. For example, in Texas, efforts are focused on defending Attorney General Ken Paxton, who faces controversy and ethical issues, with over $100 million planned for TV ads. Similarly, in Ohio, over $152 million has been spent to protect Sen. jon Husted from Democratic challenger Sherrod Brown, amid wider concerns about electoral competitiveness. Other states like Iowa and Alaska have seen ample Republican ad buys as well.
