Scheduled for execution on Wednesday, her execution attempt was unsuccessful after two attempts, and her lawyer reported she is in critical condition at a Nashville hospital. As of the latest available data, Christa Pike, a woman from Tennessee scheduled for execution, remains unconscious and intubated after an unsuccessful attempt at lethal injection earlier this week. The execution attempt involved two procedures,both of which were unsuccessful,and she is currently in critical condition at a hospital in Nashville,according to her attorney.
