Maybe we will come to have legitimate election security after all.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, an excited Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WCjJ-wAN-lk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> the launch of a new AI program. This program, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/america.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">america.gov<\/a>,\u201d uses AI to \u201cget simple answers only from official government sources.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead of combing through 29,000 government websites, the average citizen can have their government-related questions answered in a matter of seconds.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in response to the question, \u201cHow do I fill out my W-4,\u201d america.gov briefly outlined the purpose of a W-4, provided a link to the appropriate PDF, and gave a step-by-step explanation on how to fill in the appropriate sections.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s not just taxes. This program is designed to help Americans explore VA benefits, understand current public policy, and interface with government databases efficiently and effectively.<\/p>\n<p>While navigating federal benefits is a welcome convenience, the real impact of this technology hits home in the battle over election integrity.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/119th-congress\/house-bill\/22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAVE America Act<\/a> is a bill that \u201cprohibits states from accepting and processing an application to register to vote in a federal election unless the applicant presents documentary proof of U.S. citizenship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It has passed the House, but is being held up in the Senate by Democrats who believe voter ID disproportionately affects minority groups who are supposedly incapable of obtaining the necessary pieces of paper.<\/p>\n<p>This is a radical departure from historic Democratic politics. As recently as the 1990s, even Senate Minority Leader Sen.
