The 2025 Big Beautiful Bill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crfb.org\/blogs\/understanding-aca-subsidy-discussion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ended<\/a> the COVID-era enhanced subsidies in December for those earning over 400 percent of the federal poverty level.<\/p>\n<p>Under the standard rules, which returned in 2026, household incomes must generally fall between 100 and 400 percent of the <a href=\"https:\/\/aspe.hhs.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/dd73d4f00d8a819d10b2fdb70d254f7b\/detailed-guidelines-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal poverty level<\/a> to be eligible for subsidies.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Trump<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-announces-500-obamacare-rebate-checks-will-sent-nearly-1-million-americans-just-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> announced the rebate<\/a>, saying, \u201cOur Administration is doing the right thing and giving the money back to the people who were wrongly ripped off.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">President Donald J.
