Vicente gonzalez. Paxton, who was attending a rally elsewhere, is currently trailing in polls and has expressed concerns about his campaign’s performance, noting that recent party conventions did not boost his numbers. Vance emphasized the importance of defeating Gonzalez, criticizing his voting record and alignment with Nancy Pelosi, while praising Flores as a strong fighter and law-and-order advocate. The race in Texas’s 34th Congressional District remains competitive despite redistricting efforts, and Democrats aim to flip the state’s Senate seat amid shifts in voter sentiment, especially among Hispanic voters who are increasingly leaning Democratic. Vance also criticized Democratic candidate James talarico’s views, dismissing him as out of touch with voter values, amid broader GOP efforts to secure key seats ahead of the midterms.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Republican Senate candidate, missed Vice President JD Vance’s South Texas swing at the Harlingen Convention Center on Wednesday afternoon.

Vance visited Texas to boost Republican candidate Eric Flores in his race against Rep.
