In his first public address since the incident, Netanyahu explained that a pilot on a flight to Israel attacked his co-pilot and attempted to crash the plane. Most passengers, mostly Israelis, where only saved when a passenger and crew member forcibly entered the cockpit to stop the pilot. He said that \u201calmost all\u201d of the passengers were Israelis and were only saved when a passenger and crew member managed to break into the cockpit, stopping the pilot as he attempted to damage the plane\u2019s systems.
