You have six minutes with a doctor today. He\u2019s not going to be able to review it, but the AI can, and he can distill it. It can distill it. AI may say it actually doesn\u2019t do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vance agreed with the secretary\u2019s opinions, adding that \u201cthe experts are not the experts in the same way; they don\u2019t have the same control or monopoly on knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-17\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-3\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vice president noted that earlier Tuesday he attended an AI-themed luncheon at the White House that included many of the nation\u2019s top business and tech leaders who signed a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/4747485\/trump-says-tech-ceos-signed-morally-binding-document-to-self-regulate-ai\/\">\u201cmorally binding\u201d agreement to self-regulate AI<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI talked to a guy literally this morning at the president\u2019s AI luncheon who told me that he used artificial intelligence to develop a new treatment model for his wife,\u201d said Vance. \u201cWho herself was going through a cancer treatment. The doctors basically said there\u2019s nothing that\u2019s going to be able to help you. He came up with a combination of drugs, got the doctor\u2019s buy-in, and now his wife is alive when he didn\u2019t expect that she would be alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The all-day summit, hosted by the tax-exempt MAHA Center organization, comes as grassroots activists in the movement have expressed feeling betrayed by President Donald Trump and his health secretary for giving in to pressure from corporate interests.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-4\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-4\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-25\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-4\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MAHA grassroots began to split from the Trump administration earlier this year when the president issued an executive order to increase domestic production of glyphosate. The Department of Justice also backed Bayer, the owner of Monsanto, which makes the pesticide glyphosate, in the <em>Monsanto Co. v. Durnell<\/em> case over whether Roundup weed killer causes cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MAHA activists were also upset over the summit\u2019s speaker list, corporate sponsors, and topic themes, including AI\u2019s impact on healthcare, which they claimed weren\u2019t a priority for them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe MAHA Summit lineup does not reflect the issues that birthed the original MAHA movement and drove voters, especially women, to show up and vote for this coalition,\u201d regenerative farming advocate Kelly Ryerson previously told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> via email. \u201cI don\u2019t recognize this version of MAHA.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-5\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-5\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-26\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-5\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Democrats are now vying to woo over disillusioned MAHA voters before the midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abdul el Sayed, the Senate nominee in Michigan and a doctor, released a new policy platform branded as the Building A Healthier America Policy Agenda to tackle removing pesticides in food, holding polluters accountable, and removing lead and microplastics from water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAbdul wants to implement the right solutions to make a healthier America because he does not take contributions from the very corporations who profit from stuffing our food with ultra-processed junk,\u201d the campaign said in a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=000001a0-ec96-d276-aff6-edff989e0000&#038;nname=playbook&#038;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&#038;nrid=849aba7f-f4d5-44d1-8dff-3ca5fb878b65\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), a potential 2028 presidential candidate, pushed his party members in May to embrace key MAHA policies such as combating the unhealthiness of the American diet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/healthcare\/4745482\/maha-activists-upset-corporate-sponsorship-summit-rfk-jr-vance\/\"><strong>MAHA ACTIVISTS UPSET OVER CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP FOR SUMMIT FEATURING RFK JR. AND VANCE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But Vance\u2019s appearance at the summit is likely meant to help smooth over tensions and subtly assure the MAHA movement that the Trump administration is still in their corner.
