The number of child molestation cases may indicate Shojinaga has\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4dSLPMOo2K\">pic.twitter.com\/4dSLPMOo2K<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jeff Vaughn (@JeffVaughn) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JeffVaughn\/status\/2027832124125155733?\">February 28, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In December 2024, two female students believed that Shojinaga was taking photos up their skirts, the lawsuit said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe children reported that Shojinaga had been sitting with them at lunch, placing his telephone beneath the table, and making them uncomfortable, and that the conduct was not limited,\u201d the lawsuit said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A parent then confronted Claudia Antoine, the head of lower school, according to the lawsuit, saying Antoine was surprised Shojinaga would have any interest in girls, responding that \u201che bats for the other team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lawsuit said the school brushed aside the concerns as a \u201cmisunderstanding\u201d and \u201cmade no meaningful attempt to determine whether the allegation was true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antoine retired in 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the allegations after he was arrested, prosecutors claimed Shojinaga took videos \u201cup the shirts and skirts of the 4th and 5th grade female students that he teaches,\u201d saying he recorded 10- and 11-year-old girls by pretending to drop trash or tie his shoe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Court papers said the suspect claimed to have taken 50 to 60 recordings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lawsuit said that between the report the school dismissed and Shojinaga\u2019s arrest, other alleged incidents took place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In one case, a girl was standing on a chair when Shojinaga \u201ccame immediately behind her with his telephone out, causing her to believe he might be photographing her,\u201d court papers said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe child did not promptly complain again, she later explained she second guessed herself after the first complaint,\u201d according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shojinaga is free on $1 million bail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe accusations in this case are disgusting and deliberate violations of children\u2019s safety, dignity and rights,\u201d District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at the time of Shojinaga\u2019s arrest, the New York Post reported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur community\u2019s schools are meant to be safe and protected environments for youths. We believe there may be more victims and encourage anyone with information to call law enforcement.
