The gender-crazy set at Talarico\u2019s church will affirm any identity a teenager invents, but will not affirm the identity God used when He spoke.<\/p>\n<p>It is true that God, as an infinite being, does not have a biological sex. He still revealed Himself as Father. The Son of Man still took flesh as a man.<\/p>\n<p>That is not a drafting error. There is a spiritual purpose in the sexes you cannot edit out with a committee and a thesaurus.<\/p>\n<p>C.S. Lewis saw this coming. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiveaspects.com\/teaching\/articles\/c-s-lewis-on-biblical-sexuality\/c-s-lewis-on-biblical-sexuality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cPriestesses in the Church?\u201d<\/a> he wrote that if the masculine language is disposable, either Scripture is not inspired or the imagery is arbitrary. Both options, he said, are an argument against Christianity, not for a nicer one.<\/p>\n<p>Tinker with the sexed language and you do not get a broader church. You get \u201ca different religion.\u201d The Western Journal recently walked through that essay when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/c-s-lewis-say-woman-playing-depiction-christ-netflixs-narnia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Netflix cast<\/a> a woman as Aslan. The same logic applies to a pew Bible that will not say Son.<\/p>\n<p>Talarico has already played this game. In 2021, he told the Texas House that \u201cGod is non-binary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He recently walked that and other lines back and called his previous rhetoric \u201ccringey\u201d and \u201cdeliberately provocative\u201d as he seeks the U.S. Senate seat previously held by John Cornyn.<\/p>\n<p>He is running against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and the church that formed him is not a footnote, but a factory for radicalism.<\/p>\n<p>Talarico has called himself a \u201cChristian who hates Christianity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He is among a congregation that treats the Father\u2019s name as violence and the Son\u2019s title as optional.
